  • ...........pulp fiction

  • rat up a drainpipe

  • i cant watch this. makes me cringe so much.....

  • i had to close my eyes really tight

  • can't. stop. watching. but. want. to.

  • Every part in this show is perfectly cast. Not only was the big bald Welsh fella great but even small parts, like the wanky production assistant, are done really well. Laughed hard when he coyly fired Andy and Maggie, like he was embarassed to even be talking to them.

  • 0:14 "HE-LOO DAR!"

    Bahahahahahaha!!

  • Steve Speirs absolutely STEALS this show. He is just genius as the dullard. "I may not be the joker of the pack..." :D

  • I like it but it allover same type of humor and i can see what's gonna happen next.

  • I wonder what it feels like to be an extra on Extras

  • oh my god, simulated sex with dolls. Unbearable to watch!

  • What does he say to Jackson about a rat up a drainpipe? Sometimes I can't make out what he says on these vids

  • @Greengiant223 Says if he wanted to shag Maggie, he could - like a rat up a drain pipe. One of the best lines ever broadcast.

  • @caeteez Haha genius, thanks

  • Oh God, the extreme discomfort XD

  • i died of shame in their place! and it's a tv show! hope i will never witness that in real life! cause then i will die, period.

  • The Samuel Jackson scene is possibly the most cringetastic scene in the series.

  • @ukulazy Like I said...we Brits are the absolute masters of cringe, cause our minds are always racing neurotically at a billion miles an hour...incomparable. For humour/comedy it's what puts us at the absolute top supreme super absolute unreachable hors concourse. The sad thing is that there are a lot of "When the Whistle blows" British comedies - tragic! Cheers.

  • @xumbapaice when the whistle blows is more like american comedy, only because of HBO,arrested development,Curb, stole from Gervais & other brits(I"m from ny) we're starting to catch up on real comedy w/o the laugh tracks and catch phrases..but for some reason the bigwigs at the american studios create shyte sitcoms, try to dumb e'rything down, apparently thinks or tries self fulfilling prophecy we americans are that dumb,if you treat someone like a dumby/baby long enough,we'll start acting like it

  • @cykoaudio777 Don't get me wrong, eh? (but I'm not Canadian!) I'm not putting any Brits on any pedestal and saying that American comedy is basically shit (as I've said before, somewhere, I think "After Lately" is great, with hints of "The Office" and even "Extras", maybe copied, but who gives a fuck, if it's funny and causes a few laughs?). But what I'm really tring to put across is that the Brits are the absolute MASTERS of cringe...because we as a race are neurotic (takes one to know one,etc

  • Whats wrong with having a black doll? We have tons of white dolls and have them on show in houses etc.... why the hell not have a black doll too? If black people have an issue with it or get all offended ...they are stupid and don't deserve to comment. Its not racist to have black dolls on show with your other nationalities. Black people make too much of race. Sometimes I feel like THEY are the real racists.

  • @LoveMokes THEY arent anything.neither are all white people.there are racists and non racists.thats it.people like you make shit worse

  • @louiscfc93 You don't know what you are talking about. Because that was a lame comment. No insight at all. Black people DO get all uptight about black dolls etc. Especially Black Americans. THEY 'make shit worse'. I say what the hell does it matter what colour that doll was? She has twenty dolls on the shelf, one happens to be black???/ so what? The other 19 are white. Maybe we white should start getting all pissy over having dolls made in OUR image or err...colour? Black ppl can be whiney

  • @LoveMokes a family friend of mine owns hundreds of those dolls.her son in law and grandkids are black.they dont give a shit neither does she.some black people at my school even had those dolls.however black brits and black americans are completely different.blacks from here didn really get lynched on the grand scale that american blacks did so maybe over here its not as bad as in america

  • This scene makes me cringe so many times... I love it! lol

  • why didnt she just go "im sorry i was shamed to let you see that i have it"

  • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PUT THE DOLLS DOWN

  • I love how Samuel L Jackson is having make-up applied to his head.

  • Ashley playing with the dolls is so desperately innocent and funny.Comicly fluent actress. She takes a hopelessly dumb childlike character and makes us care about her and cringe each time she opens her mouth.Wonderful

  • Maggie: *points* "That one."

Love the innocence of Maggie's character when she specifically points to the actor she tried having sex with after Andy mentions to Samuel about her wanting to shag with a black guy for a couple of weeks to point out how Maggie's not a racist.

  • Ugh, Andy is so quick to blame others for everything that goes wrong with him. He wants to point the finger at his friendship with Maggie costing him his line, but at no point did he have to say "rat up a drainpipe".

  • Hahahahahaha this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long long time!

  • "I don't like reggae?" 10CC reference, much? XD

  • Oh my god, I started yelling at her when she had the dolls and started playing with them! "Please for the love of God, STOP."

  • The most cringe worthy dating scene ever... loved it.

  • "Don't take this the wrong way, but i looked at you and though what a pathetic loser"

  • cringe!!!!! lol

  • lmao sam looks like hes jus gonna break into laughter after gervais says "rat up a drainpipe"

  • cat stevens/yusef islam is great

  • i don't think i've EVER cringed soooo hard!!!

  • Maybe someone can help me out here. Does anyone know why Gervais sticks his head in the soup, because i don't know if he did it because the guy gave him that gift and he was pissed off that he'd just insulted him etc. Or if it was all too depressing.

I think it's the first reason but can't be sure.

  • @VerbalGraffitti i think its because he couldnt reason with that guy

so he did something irrational. and left

  • Hello dere!

  • EXCRUTIATING!!!!!!!

  • extras has the biggest cringe factor of any tv sho

  • fantastic episode

  • 3.01 onwards when he presents the tickets, and the looks and expressions on that fat guy's face is really, really good acting and cringingly well written and timed!

  • Gervais' soup ftw!

  • why is ricky gervais so fucking hilarious. lmao

  • samuel l jackson looks like he's about to laugh during the conversation with ricky and maggie..

  • maggie blew it with that hot black guy... he is a good catch!

  • God i can't get over how fucking annoying the fat bald guy's voice is. Seriously, he sounds like he permanently has something stuck in his throat.

  • @andrewm153351 And a Taff. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • I reckon that Maggie would have been fine in that conversation without Andy interfering.

  • lol at 0:17

  • Excruciatingly funny.

  • I'd forgotten how funny this was.

  • THAT ONE !!!!!!!!! AMAZING LMAO

  • 3:50 mental breakdown hahaha.

  • I love the subtext that the two white people are in police uniforms whilst the black chaps aren't.

    This is clever stuff.

  • what was the "rabbit up the drainpipe" all about?

  • @skitch88

Haha i haven't noticed that, but i think he is referring to the matrix...

  • Ricky Gervais, king of kringe

  • How does he come up with this stuff it's so "oh dear trainwreck" but so funny.

  • The black guy is hott!!!

  • Going from Extras to Catherine Tate is like going from Rolls Royce to Reliant Robin.

  • @JanineRobin what, you mean Catherine tate only has three limbs?

  • the whole racist thing throughout this episode is soooo painful to watch, but yet so funny! lol made me cringe and laugh both at once.

  • the guy looks like ashley cole

  • @adzarsenal39 Yeah that's it.

  • Work of a comedy genius/king of comedy, Ricky Gervais!

  • ''and dont take this in the wrong way, but when i saw ya, i thought what a pathetic loser.'' hahahaha.

  • "yeah, that's it...another great day, being friends with you" hahaha

  • "I just wanted to say I hate reggae", she really is a thick piece of shit lol.

  • "Hello derr... hello there." Oh boy she's a ditz.

  • Ricky Gervais is a genius.

  • @unlockthepower fact

  • @unlockthepower as is merchant

  • I feel so sorry for the bald guy, even though it is obviously not real, but there are people like that.

  • This is quite a clever strategy, diving his head in the soup. He has to behave more annoying and nuts than the dullard to end that excruciating relationship. Great suttle humor ...

  • Is Gervais diving his head in Cheap can- food (Heinz-Spagetti) ? I bet he does.

  • does anyone know the name of the song at the end of every extras episode?

  • Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman

  • andy cud be a fucking success if he didn't have maggie n darren fucking up his life lol

  • this the episode to which i have said wtf more times out loud

  • Episodes 4 and 5 are not as funny as 1 and 2 imo. The ones with Gervais' and Merchant's exchanges are hilarious.

  • "Word of advice : if you get the most amazing, gorgeous, good-looking black guy back at your house, don't leave your Golliwog lying around."

  • maggie is extremly irritating

  • AAAAAAHHH! xD I can't keep still and burst out panic "Noo!"s all the time because they're doing it all wrong XP still can't stop watching XD

  • that restaurant scene made me laugh out loud!!!

  • That scene in the restaurant made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!!

  • Sublime. Oh. My. God.

    Absolutely brilliant.

  • LOL Brilliant...

  • Rofl

  • So awkward sometimes........

  • I love how Maggie addresses Andy's index finger as it points up the drainpipe.

  • rat up a drainpipe :D

  • That is why I don't own any Golly Dolls.

  • Gervais is a cocky, arrogant motormouth but when youve written and starred in a scene like that restaurant sketch you can be as cocky as you like...cos that is fucking comic GENIUS

  • Its GOLLY!

    LMAO

  • "you really are mr. grumpy boots tonight" :D

  • jackson cant help but smile

  • i love maggie

  • To be fair, lots of people get Laurence Fishburne and S.L. Jackson confused...Still, I couldn't stop laughing when she started talking about The Matrix :D

  • They look nothing like each other. Who are these 'lots of people' you speak of?

  • Well firstly, the reason the joke is on this episode to begin with is because it is a common mistake.

Secondly, it's not so much the facial features as their charisma and persona. Big, tall, ultra-suave, penchant for black coats and sunglasses, always appear in control, almost always play 'cool' characters in films.

I don't confuse them now, but I did when I was about 14, which is Maggie's mental age.

  • What a poor bastard :(

  • this is abit of a lame one. gays, blacks and slapstick. comedy gold! : /

  • catherine tate is shite

  • "don't take this the wrong way, but I looked at you and thought 'what a pathetic loser.'"

    Nice.

  • "Another good day being friends with you" haha

    And i love Andy's reaction at 5.26 :D

  • Ha I like how Andy leaves the bald bloke with the bill

  • Not a lot of Jackson in this episode. Another couple of scenes would've been better.

  • I love watching Gervais.

Whenever he starts making himself look like a idiot i have to strain to watch it, it's so painful :P But in a awesome way :D

  • lmao at the dolls

  • that one. lol

  • i started saying stop, stop!! when she said matrix.

  • @meekiyas

That's what white guilt does to people.

  • @116Bears i'm african.

  • @meekiyas

Your point being? I was writing about Maggie.

  • i know what you mean its funny and everything, ashley jensen is a gooda ctor but its a bit painful sometimes

  • When he puts his head in the soup! Genius!

  • Absolutely hilarious

  • haha i love those social situations where some one is just digging themselves a HUGE pc whole haha

  • lmao when ricky says no what are you doing? that reaction is killer

  • haha Love it at the end "stay with us, catherine tate next on 2". Err, no

  • I can't stop watching

  • omg. so hard to watch but can't stop.

    Amazing

  • sooo awkward!omggggggg

  • "2 tickets to the.. Ben Elton musical'

    I almost died with laughter

  • Ouch, those last few minutes are painful.

  • Try that. NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING lol

  • Don't take this the wrong way but I looked at you and I thought..." what a pathetic loser.

  • They always put their foot in it! Its absolutely painful to watch at times. hehe! Thanks for posting :D

  • lol i know its hard to watch when there in extremly awkward situations lol

  • the black guy is cute...

  • oh god, they just dig that hole for themselves. i can barely watch haha

  • oh marvellous.. the whole series... a genius ode to ignominous social departures.

  • Pure class

  • "she's not racist. in fact she's being trying to get a black guy to shag her for a few weeks"

    "that one" *points* lol

  • Haaaaaa she actually POINTS! Excruciating haaaaaa

  • The Dullard is a legend!

  • "that's remarkable advice!"

    XD

  • Omg, best episode! :D

  • definitely

  • Pulp Fiction..

  • lmao...best episode so far!

That woman reminds me of me SO much...

  • Just a shame Samuel L wasn't in it more, though he's slick as hell, as per usual. Another good episode of totally cringeworthy humour <3

  • "what a pathetic loser"

  • pulp fiction ... lol

  • i can't watch things like this. it's just too emberassing

  • Are you refering to the subject or the show as a whole?

  • social embarassment aka not knowing when to shut up (which is indeed pretty much the concept of the show)

  • Yeah i know what your saying, i love it on the other hand! This and the Office (US), cringe central! =))

  • Last scene I was just screaming 'STOP, STOP'

  • Omg same

  • like a rat up a drain pipe!

  • "Im not a racist, I think I fancy you", just after the ' hello dere'

  • I love how he says 'don't take this the wrong way', as if being a pathetic loser can be taken as a compliment :)

  • another good day being friends with you

  • owch

  • Painful to watch? Quite an understatement...I had to pause the vid about a dozen times just to get through the whole thing

  • lol he nearly took his eye out wit that fork

  • haha another classic example of a white person being so paranoid about being considered a racist they will go to any length to be politically correct.

Bit like Ricky's character (David Brent) in The Office when he spends the whole of series 2 trying to convince the 'office black guy' that he isn't a racist. Even going as far as to buy a black dog so that he can call it Nelson, 'after the great Nelson Mandela, who they locked up just because he was black'. LOVE IT!

  • 'great man, great dog'! lol

  • Maggie saying "HELLO DERE" in that dodgy negro voice then correcting herself cracks me up every time.

  • Hey, anybody know what the song at the end is? Great show, great episode. Often brilliant, occassionally genius.

  • It's Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens. Great song!

  • I never ever noticed it was Cat Stevens who sang that song. Don't know why, his voice is pretty distinguishable. Cheers for the heads-up.

  • thanks, great song.

  • "another good day being friends with you"

  • "That one" hahaha oh god

  • omg i could barely watch it

  • 3:28 - brilliant. What else could he do but make it even more surreal?

  • LMAO God they need to know when to shut the fuck up.
