Here is a perfect example, that art and creativity has no limits. Amazing song by Indian Ocean. Open strings by Sushmit Sen and singing while playing by Asheem. It is really unusual to see percussionist singing while playing instruments. Asheem Chakravarty, you will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.

yes you are quite right it is easy to confuse sufi with these. the bhakti and sufi movements had come at around the same time in the subcontinent and had the same target, hence similar lyrics and same style of music. You will hence find that they sing of similar thigns. Although kabirdas is much older than that but his works are deep musings on materialism . In literature the equivalent is called Rahasyavad. If you are interested in these themes you should be able to find some, Best

Indian Ocean has been performing since 1984, a decade before Junoon was formed. Junoon was a sufi-pop band. I.O is a folk-rock band, they dont do sufi stuff.

Junoon didnt reveal Shubha's capacity.Infact it was the other way around.She is an iconic hindustani classical singer who started singing classical decades before Slaman first played his first guitar chords.

Having said that, Junoon was a great band.

Dude, Indian Ocean rocks and is a better band than Strings or Junoon on any given day and even it beats Euphoria. I like their music coz of their unconventional style and involves more of folk music. Pleasssssssseeeeee upload more of India Ocean videos. Especially the video of their song Bharam Baap from movie Black Friday, where one of the bomber hides from place to place all over India. Th emusic was perfect for the situation and the lyrics too!!!
