There are a huge number of foreign nationals who graduate from US universities. They are counted as part of the 271,000 engineering graduates that are mentioned in this "news". In the masters program, the ratio of foreign nationals to US nationals is as high as 50-50. So around half of the "american students" arent american at all. they cant stay here without a h1 visa. 30,000 students actually stay with h1 visas and the rest go home. What about american jobs created by this education industry?

Indian companies created faslified , bogus resumes and sent hoards of workers.. In India every politician started 1000' of engineering colleges as US gave VISA for engineers. These engioneers did not have any standard for qualifications. How can you expect good work. It was all a drama. Some times if tis considered as a SOFTWAR.

I work in a highly techinical field. There are not white people there. I am from eastern europe and the rest of stuff asian and indian. Initially all stuff was white and highly educated (10-15years ago). Now only the director and supervisor are white.

I use to hate Lou Dobbs for always blaming Republicans and never blaming Democrats. Now that I re-registered Constitution Party I now know that Republicans hold a majority of the blame for their continuing push for cheap foreign labor, whether it is free trade, immigration, or guest workers.

It was Bill Clinton who signed the massive visa increases into law in 1998 and 2000 that initially flooded our labor market with MILLIONS of turd world workers. Not a republican - a communist (ooops, I mean democrat).

Good points, however, Lou Dobbs is a Republican. These programs began under Willian Jefferson Clinton. It is not free trade, not at all. Most countries know that their labor pool is their economy. The countries of the people we accept to take our jobs have laws on the books preventing us from working there. They claim foreign workers can bring down an economy. DUH! How will we sustain out tax base? Maybe when they reposses all of our homes they will give them to these Indians, to be nice.

I lived and worked in Silicon Valley for 15 years before the invasion of MILLIONS of these frauds from India. They will NOT hire Americans. Furthermore, we train them. They come here with no skills and Americans train them. "What is byte swapping"? "Why does this file work on a PC but not on a Mac"? LOL.

H-1B is a free handout to appease India. These people have what we would consider a 7th-grade education. Plus they are all criminals and liars.

This comment is totally fake. You wouldn't believe how many American engineers complain about the poor quality of H1B visa worker's work. The reason companies need so many of them is because they need more than one team working in parallel on a project and they hope at least one team gets it right.

I have worked with engineers from india , and i can honestly say that they are as qualified as thier american counterparts. I was very impressed with the quality workers from india.
