He did that so that we don't have to pay for our sins...His sacrifice paid for them. So be grateful and rejoice. the penalty for sin is death and he took the burdon off of us by paying the price because he cares so much for us.He sacrificed for us because he loves us so much.

The Bible says that Jesus humbled Himself and emptied Himself of of some aspects of His divinity so that He could become exactly like us and live the perfect sinless life that no one can live. He prayed to His father showing dependence on Him and the example that we should follow. When He was taken to the cross He wasnt just being crucified, He was receiving the wrath of God
