  • Morons. First of all, borosilicate glass flasks are never heated over an open flame, and certainly never IN the flame like here, where it's licked by blue coned flame. Heatproof mat (asbestos, ceramic) is needed. Otherwise the glass may crack.

    Second, putting a rubber stopper in the flask full of water and heating it while holding the stopper is ridiculous. This could've ended with second degree burns over a great deal of upper body. Not to mention the face and eyes.

    Potential Darwin award.
