I've gone the PC route myself tho, because I want it to be really immersive, so I will hook up 3 monitors, and I have the 3D Vision kit, and headtracker..
since 3D is not yet available for console, and you can't hook up 3 screens with a console.
@z28camaro2 Sounds great, man! I have a top-notch PC myself as well, but find playing with PC annoying compared to easy PS3.
3D Vision sounds great and I'm definately looking forward to upgrade my TV at some point, when the prices come down and there is more content to watch in 3D. Until then, this is just perfect for me. ;-)
Please post a video or something of your setup, as it sounds awesome!
@Klazu I suggest buying a 3D Projector, you can pick one up for $700, and it's 720p too, not bad for the price.
it would be much cheaper than shelling out some cash on a 3D T.V
as far as content to watch in 3D... I just updated my drivers for my video card, and in the description it reads: "Adds support for Blu-ray 3D with NVIDIA 3D Vision technology"
so it looks like fairly soon we should start seeing 3D Blu-ray movies. :-)
nice setup, I plan on getting the Buttkicker soon, but I'm wondering if the vibration is uncomfortable at all...hurt your ass at all? haha, maybe you could give me your thoughts on it.
also, I got the 3D Vision kit, with the TrackIR headtracking system, and it's amazing for immersion, (feels like your there) I can only imagine what it would be like with a Playseat Evolution, Buttkicker, and a nice steering wheel with pedals :-)
@z28camaro2 Buttkicker gives you nice low frequency vibration and doesn't "hurt" or anything. It feels nice and definately improves the immersion by giving you "ass feedback" on the events of the game. :-)
It's a sweet device and it's a shame the Playseat Evolution doesn't have any designated place for attaching it. However with a small intuition one can find few ways of attaching it.
I'm also planning on getting HeadTracking once GT5 with support for it is finally released. Should be awesome!
@Klazu Does console support head tracking? I thought head tracking was only possible with PC... hmm, maybe I'm mistaken.
it's too bad about the Buttkicker not being able to fit on square tubing, luckily for me, I'll be using a Lazy Boy, that has a circular base, with round tubing that goes through out the entire chair, so it should work fairly well with the Buttkicker :-)
I plan on picking up some rubber matting (1 inch thick) that way I can crank it up a bit more :-) - live in apartment
@z28camaro2 At least Grant Turismo 5 is going to have HeadTracking using the Playstation Eye camera (external accessory). Don't know how well it works, but I'm going to find out once GT5 hits the shelves. ;-)
If you're getting a Buttkicker, indeed make sure the vibration doesn't get via the floor to the room structures. The device has such powers at best, that you'll surely end up having some very pissed off neighbours. ;-D

PC also has some pretty good racing sims too. :-)
