it dose not matter that he is kurdish or he is persian. he is a fantastic composer. he composed both kurdish and farsi. His music is for all peoples regadless nationalty
he is a kurds from kermanshah. he contributed greatly to kurdish music and played with some of famous kurdish singers from iran from kermansha kurdish tv stations and later on in various kurdish functions and tv in souther Kurdistan Federal government. he was loved by all kurds and has many solo pieaces in kurdish which i often see played on KUrdsat TV.
no its not from fiddler on the roof, its a old Iranian song that he is playing. Iran has a rich history of Classical music, but its different then European classical music its based on Iranian songs and systems, the santour which is an Iranian instrument is the grandmother of the Piano.
is there difference between iranian violin and european violin ? they sound the same to me. old iranian music had raga and musician would improvise in different ragas. is this new style of classical music ? i have seen video of bijan and it is very nice. how old is this song ? around time of motzart (1800s) ? thanks
the difference is how they tune them, iranian music is played different daskga or (systems) there is 7 different ones each one is tuned in a differnt way making for the slight difference in the sound
The Violin is an european, western instrument my friend and it is less than 100 years that violin has entered to Iran. Iranian Have a very old instrument that its age is too more long than Violin and it is a bowed stringed instrument and can be the godfather of violin.(from more than 800 years)
and the "raga" word not be used for Iranian music it is in "Indian" music.
In Iranian Music we have a complete repertory that called "radif" it is divided to 7 main parts that called "Dastgah" and
Iranian Traditional Music is very wealthy at the base and musical materials .
we have our Traditional music and some good musicians in Europian Classical music too. (in this last recent century) and some musicians in Iran combined the Western Clssical music with Iranian traditional music and did some great jobs.
this song is made by Maestro "Parvis Yahaghi" and it is based on persian Traditional music in "avaz" "Esfahan"
and there is no general differences between Iranian Violin and western Violin just Iranian Use this instrument to express their own Music and for it from 60 years ago a doctrine is generated by Maestro "Saba" in Iranian Violin playing that made the Violin like an Iranian Traditional instrument in techniques and in methods and in sound and in tune.
