yes,but if you go to barheim passage as a low level,steal form mimics,you can be extremely OP'd in the beginning of the game

Ithuno is the second chest. If there is only one chest, then reset and try again. Ithuno will only be there if there is two chests/weird concepts for chests.

I dont remember, i havent played this game in over 2 years. If i remember correctly, the items arent sellable OR the ones that are sellable do not count towards getting the key. Meaning they would be extra.

@Garif the great serpentskin is sellable and is kept in your loot, it's required to get the barheim key

Another place you can get Deathbringer, its before/after you enter Giruvegan, the area with the Gigas Door, look around for a Chest, its going to be guarded by a trap, and you can either have good luck or just use a diamond armlet. and eventually you'll get one. just make sure you save the game before doing many attempts.

I've gotten past the Mt. Bur Omisace section (ie after fighting the psycho jufge in the temple) and am now heading north to Arcadia. Could I possibly go there before getting to arcadia?

alright your on the wrong track. you've got to go to the dalmascan eastersands and finish that little sidequest with helping the women help that sick person. she'll ask for some vond_____ mist leaves or something like that and they are on the4 otherside of the river so go to the mesphospheran region and buy a map to help you head south down to the ____ sands. find the purple flower tree and then go back to the lady. give them to her and exit the place and come back. talk to her again and...

before you do that, make sure to finish off the business with the river boat and the kid and his dad. now go the back of the house the woman stands in front of and she'll tell you to go south east so exit the place and head down until you come upon a door, talk to the poeple and then enter. mind you that you must be over lvl 25 or you'll have a hard time taking on the lvl 38 lizards there. and just watch this video for help.

lol I managed to get my first Deathbringer on my first try, but when I tried to get another two for the rest of my main party it took so unbelievably long lol, totally worth it though, they lasted me most of the game before I replaced them with better weapons

Actually, since Ithuno is not a mark and is only rare game, it will respawn. Just get back to it later.

you get by going to the nebra village then speaking with dantro's wife and doing a sidequest with her (you must do everything she says) at the end of the quest there will be a bangaa and the back of the hut where dantro's wife was, he will give you the key.

not sure about that but you should load your game. First what you must do before you find Ithunos is head up north and go to the barheim save crystal and save. So if you stuff up or if he doesn't appear you can exit to title, load then start from there :) hope this helps

That jar is called the Canopic Jar. It makes normal monsters drop Arcana and Rare Games drop High Arcana

you do know that you can get it right after you destroy the suncrust rught? and you can buy save the queen. and its effect doesnt work all the time. it rarely works. its the sword i use for my guys but its still not my favorite. good vid though =D

Yeah but you can pick up this sword at like level 28, and if you get it then it's WAY WAY WAY better than anything you'll have for a looong loooooooong time.

well i actually managed 2 get the deathbringer nd after i had 1, i could slay those monsters in there that r level 38-39 with no prob. i heard that u get it every 1 in 10-15 tries, but i got it 4 times in a row once. it took about 8 tries 2 get the other 2.

actually i did this cheat 6 times, i got the deathbringer sword 4 evry 1 in my group, it was the biggest pain in the butt eva. i was stupid nd attempted it right after getting the dawn shard. i was at level 26 i think i had levelled up heaps with the bagoly's nd all in simoon bluff outside the tomb of raithwall.

Zodiac Spear is probably the WORST endgame weapon in FF12.

Sure, it has 150 attack...

But you can't combo with it. A store-bought katana or ninja sword will do more damage.

Also of note is that the Ithuno chest is silver, whereas every other chest in the zone is a dull copper color. If the player is a lower level, it may be useful to pull Ithuno to the zone so that they may zone and cure between steal attempts. He'll still be there when zoning back.

For reference sake, fighting every mob on the way to the chest is very inefficient. Since the chest seems to have about a 10% chance of spawning, minimizing the time it takes to check for the chest is useful. After the chest is spotted, the player has the choice of going back to kill the mobs before spawning Ithuno or simply spawning him and running out of aggro range of the rest of the mobs. Since he's a rare monster, he will follow further than normal mobs will.

Don't worry. After i made this video, i realized that Ithuno still comes back even after you kill him. Rare Game monsters can re-spawn, it's the Mark Hunts that can't re-spawn. Keep trying until you meet him again. He will come sooner or later. It took me 16 tries last time, i seriously thought he was gone for good lol.
