  • There is something i find endearing about low poly games :)

  • 60,000th view! :D

  • I play terraria while listening to this

  • @Will6753 Me too!

  • what is this 'Baaalder's Gate' ?

  • @iFaceBookedYourDads possibly the best classic D&D based RPG ever made.

  • i think a battlefront3 would be great.

  • @TheDanishredneck I agree.

  • i disagree! i remember Isabela´s boobs very fondly ;)

  • lol skifree

  • I dont necessarily listen to what he says, but by god sitting in a warm and comfy sweater questing in WoW whilst listening to these Mailbox videos is just soooo relaxing :D (no homo..)

  • I'm currently trying to bring back older PSX games with my friends since I am a huge proponent of old platformers. I've currently devoted myself to Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, Rayman and other platformers from that era. I also push new platformers. I fully agree though that I've passed over several PSX games because of this bias. Storytelling is an entire medium in my opinion, therefore it has similar trends across the board.

  • @Zantillia ugh I meant to mention PS2 in there since I said R&C and Jak. >_<

  • And just one comment and tb will probally never see this but

Stop fuckin healing the trolls you spam the laser then heal it

  • He has one nordrassil

  • You need your own radio show.

  • "You can't compare KOTOR to Mass Effect."

    Wat.

  • @TehPandaShogun You can't.

  • I love tomb raider 1, the graphics are ugly but I always felt it added to the atmosphere of the game

  • 3rd person shooters are better imo...saints row has the most retarded weapons you can find in modern games, and I love it

  • The longest Journey is timeless game imo. made in 1997 & I still like to play it from time to tame like once in 10 years or so.

  • Is it odd that my favorite character of Dragon Age 2 was actually the crossbow that... the dwarf guy wielded. Not the dwarf himself, just the bow.

  • @PoppaPockets how is that a character

  • yeah i was burnt by dragon age 2. i bought it in a double pack with dead space 2 for 20 quid. so i got what i payed for i guess. but swtor is growing on me!

  • When you were talking about gunns... he starting a new show next year where he hopes to have guests... you should get in contact with him and ask to go on :D

  • Are you going to VOD the magicka live stream?

  • what armor is that in magicka O_o

  • @keloid123 prob from warhammer games

  • @keloid123 TBs is the space marine one

  • Yall getting farmed!

  • TB.

    Against those Yetis use

    DDDDE

    on self

    stops you from getting killed

  • @xHound174 Invalid statement is invalid, considering all Magicka content is over.

  • What are you guys doing in the video... having trouble with that Yeti?

  • Lol, I soloed the Yetis in my first try. xD

  • GUNNSHOP + TotalBiscuit = xD

  • What about ME3? They haven't changed the graphics at all...

  • Some people just don't like Mass Effect, because it has shooter mechanics and it's not "RPG enough" for them. But who cares? Storytelling is awesome, story, characters as well. I love ME series. DA2 had more RPG features than ME2, but it's worse...

  • @hivess89 Exactly. It's these pedants and elitists, that are bent on keeping every game strict to their origins.

No, Mass Effect doesn't have looting, advanced stats or an open-world. It's still an RPG. It's an action-RPG, yes, but it has some of the best stories and characters known to gaming.

As TB stressed in another mailbox, this would not be the case if it was an open-world game. Let's face, plot of TES is weak but exploration is amazing. Vice versa in ME.

  • BioWare's Dragon Age II didn't become the triple AAA title everyone expected it to be and now people start talking that they were betrayed and that BioWare is losing it. It was one game. If it was three games I would understand, but I think people are just too harsh on this one.

  • TB JUST HIT NUMBER 1 ON KING OF THE INTERNET!

  • Oh my god Luis has a red shirt as a robe.. A red robe? But then... EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE!

  • Fuck EA

  • I think the main thing to remember when talking about the longevity of games is that it's still a new form of media. And even then there are plenty of classics. How many classics are there that are still remembered from the first decade or two of films?

I imagine if you compared number of classics in first 2 decades of films and games then it would be similar

  • dust514?

  • I'm a little surprised to hear TB likes Gunns4hire. Gunns does have a pretty good vlog and I'm sure hes a good guy but he makes mountains out of molehills and jumps to conclusions all the time.

  • I would like to ask how TB can say that none of the characters in Dragon Age 2 were memorable when he once said he only played about 5 hours through the game... Dragon Age 2 was a bad game, yeah, but I don't understand how he can comment on the story and characters 5 hours into a 30 hour game.

  • @Lekelly99 after 10 minutes of talking to Alistair i wanted to marry the man in RL, Obviously TB is comparing the opening of characters in DA2 to the first game (which i haven't played so I cant comment on how it is.

  • were do I see the proper versoin of the magicka lifestream? Is it going to be on the youtube channels?

  • @BurlyTheNord you just supported my point

  • I LOVED baldur's gate, ESPECIALLY dark alliance. Me and my brother poured countless hours going through every single character and we enjoyed every minute of it. BIOWARE, IF YOU'RE OUT THERE, PLEASE BRING BACK BALDUR'S GATE!!!

  • Games definitely last longer than 5 years. Hell back when I still had my NES, i was still playing FF and Kirby, and that was when the 360 had come out. My brother enjoyed playing Secret of Mana. Video games and books can last for a long time, depending on the person. You can lose interest in a book just as easily as a video game. That's why you need to keep many books and games on hand. Never gets old.

  • The first game by Bioware that I had ever played was Neverwinter nights.

    So damn awesome.

  • Don think games last long

I still have a ps1 with alot of game's that STILL WORK

so i think games last along time

  • Don't think games don't last more than 5 years?

I still have my xbox with games such as kotor 1 & 2, halo 2, fable 1. I even have my n64 with smash bros, paper mario, golden eye, super mario 64.

I enjoy reading but I'll rather hop back to one of those games every few months, than re-read To kill a mocking bird, One flew over the cuckos next or Spartacus again.

Why? because the experience changes in games, not so much in a book.

  • I tried to listen but just kept laughing at the background fail lol tb and the yogs boys getting hammered

  • What you said about rewards I think is absolutely true. I myself try to get all rewards on games, which is really annoying. Usually I try to let myself complete the game first, and make sure its on a different run-through that I do it though.

  • F-Zero X on N64 looks horrible, but it's the gameplay that grabs me.

I think it's basically Moore's Law, wherein processing power doubles ever 18 months. Graphics and power I think WILL definitely plateau- it's a matter of when.

I think Strong Bad's games had a point- 8 Bits is Enough :P

Good games will remain good forever, I think

  • Please upload the magicka video to youtube <3

  • Comment removed

  • I think the Crash Bandicoot games on ps1 just scrape by with still be playable, maybe not the mos beautiful games but I still enjoy them and their art style

  • YES; another neverwinter nights would make me jizz

  • hey tb, i would appreciate it if you won't put any more of dying at the same spot to the same stuff again and again and again, it becomes really boring to watch

i know we are here to listen but only listening gets booring

  • Hope there is a new mailbox tonight, submitted a question! :D

  • To the 1st question: I still play diablo 2...

  • TB for King!!!!!

  • TYTYTYTY for talking about unlocks for FPS and how they are becoming the sole reason people play the game. So pointless.

  • How did i missed this new MailBox? god damn new youtube!

  • @MaGn3zIuM I know right, I missed it too.

  • @MaGn3zIuM I hate it too....

  • @MaGn3zIuM It's not Youtube's fault, it's YOURS. I saw this fine, because I bothered to spend two seconds learning how the new Youtube WORKS. Grow a pair.

  • Early 3D games (especially on Playstation) looked pretty horrible even back in the day.

  • @DeadlyFredXXX i agree, i literally puked from playing Perfect Dark on N64

  • @DeadlyFredXXX but at the time you loved them, you're a liar if you claim you dont! :)

  • @oxane240 -- I loved them, but not for their graphics usually :D

  • Maniac Mansion bitchez!

  • Mass Effect was an unbelievable drop in quality from KotOr, and ripping out all that made that game stand on its own as something sub-par was ripped away for ME2's BS. Bioware is caught up in their own pretentious mindset now and think they can please mass public appeal while still holding to those ideas. It makes those more observant gamers frustrated at their terrible decisions.

  • Any1 know what pack the warhammer skin is in?

  • @Althoras1 If you mean the "Not a Space Marine" it was a free update

  • my all time favoret game is Legend of the dragoon and Xenogears on the PS1, i rebought them after i had them stolen a few years back

  • I'm sorry to argue with you, but I think it's entirely wrong to say that people don't read old books anymore (Yes, I know that he said "books in that era", but the question was asking about old books, so if his answer was only referencing to books written at the same time as LOTR he may have misunderstood that part of the question). But it's entirely wrong, the classics are still huge sellers, The Brontes, Austen, Dickens, Heller and many more "old" books still shift millions of copies.

  • Whats the music at the end ?

  • @cracknutter87 The TotalBiscuit Ballad, if you put it in the youtube search bar, there should be a full version to be found.

  • @HoverSk8er Thanks mate.

  • there will be an evolution in FPS if Crytek UK decide to make a new TimeSplitters

  • @AlexTheAverageKid

God I would love a new TS game, map maker, arcade league mode, I miss it all so much.

Call of Duty's spec ops mode has nothing on the challenges put forward in the TS league modes.

  • The answer to question 2 is EA.

  • i would love an SC2 fps or rpg!!

  • Comment removed

  • I love Bioware games, but Dragon Age 2 is really bad, I have to agree. Dragon Age Origins was great because of some oldschool elements from Baldur's Gate. Of course they have to "dumb down" rpgs - so more casuals will buy them. I don't get it... Mass Effect is more than enough for that "casual rpg" title (I love ME, but I don't look it as an rpg. It's a tps, with rpg elements in it - with a rich sci-fi world). Let Dragon Age 3 be as like as Dragon Age Origins.

  • I would argue that there's plenty of books published at the same time as LOTR that are still read today, Lord of the Flies, Gone With the Wind, I am Legend, Live and Let Die, etc.

  • Hello to any PC gamers! In my mind, building yuor own PC is fairly simply, i could for instance buy a desktop with good RAM and CPU and then buy a good graphics card seperately... Is this... Accurate?

  • @McBobghost well yea but there is more to a pc than just ram and your GPU

  • @McBobghost Not at all. CPU is not that important for a gaming PC, whereas GPU is the most important. Depending on how serious of a gamer you are, you should also not forget power supply, good ventilation in the case, mouse, keyboard, even mousepad, headphones. Every bit of equipment is important to have best experience possible.

  • Diablo 2.. Nuff said :D

  • Becomes interresting.

  • Ok. FPS' don't have a lot of diversity in the games, which are released in that genre. Other genres like puzzlegames, as you mentioned, have something quite significant that keeps it entertaining and a valuable genre. It has the element of surprise and plays with the human imagination, which you can hardly say with titles as BF3 or MW3 where there is barely any real human contact with the game, other than skill. Games like Half-Life, and Mario tends to appeal to our imagination and therefore -

  • Diablo 10-11 Years old

  • Chrono trigger! <3 <3 Best game ever made

  • I'm more for playing kotor 2 than kotor 1. I haven't played tor so I couldn't decide if I like it over 2. But if I could get a new copy of 2 I would buy it in a heart beat and play the hell out of it and wouldn't be seen or heard from for a few days other than the request for some food and something to drink

  • I was a Planetside vet, just recently started playing again and becuase of all the Planetside 2 hype, the games server is full again and its still an amazing game.

  • Definitely don't agree with the first question.

  • OH FOR GODS SAKE FREEEZE HIM!

I passed this lvl in 3 turns...

  • people used to accept games as a challenge, now its more accepted as a waiste of time in wich they wish to put as little effort in as possible.

  • @BlackLoveSwan only game i found a challenge this year is skyrim and the only challenging part in that game is the getting the theives guide back on top.

  • i own a ps3 but i got 15 ps1 games downloaded on it ;D

  • Master of Orion 2.

  • Again with DA2 hate. IT WAS NOT A BAD GAME! -.-

  • @someguy459 It was a big letdown compared to DA1 though :P

  • @someguy459 I agree. Total Biscuit says that there were no memorable characters and I disagree. Varrick and Fenris were great. And the Anders/Justice was an absolutly mindblowing way of saying that the "good guy" isn't just a goodie-two-shoes

  • @Zunin A popular internet figure says something and ofc the masses will instantly agree.

And the Ellis guy from the mail is an idiot.

  • @bluumberry Its ok,to not like things.It ok,just don't be a dick about it.

  • HEALING MINES!!!

  • BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

  • pokemon red >:D!!!!

  • I don't understand why there hasn't been a game made like GTA4 i.e. 'realistic' modern sandbox game but in FPS. I used the FPS mod for GTA4 & it gives the whole game a new feel, why is it game devs haven't even attempted a sandbox fps?

  • am i the only person who preferred DA2 to DAO?

  • @jords321 Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it sounds like it. I guess part of the problem is that people who played it were expecting some more DAO and thus some more Baldur's gate.

  • there are allways that freaks.. freaks..

  • and if u let use the Modding-tools we´ll made the voice-acting i guess

  • I think this is how it works:

release-6 months: lots of people play it constantly

7 months-2 years: people play in their free time

3 years-5 years: people look back at how fun it was

6 years -10 years: people play because it's a "classic" or miss the game

  • @JollyManProductions which game, or genre?

  • @strikermovies4u thats just how I see every average game goes

  • *crying* i miss Jowood & Westwood.. RIP!

  • @dropsforahotstone with Jowood.. the last Honor of my country, died. guess

  • Comment removed

  • finally... i´ve to try DA2... but ´ll not buy it.. i got the Dragonage 1 collectors with map on line and all ;)

  • @dropsforahotstone DA2 is really not a good game. Unfortunately

  • @rockswe tb mentioned that... not worth the "sec" dl-frame?

    call it "well Well"

  • i mostly dont get DLC... i buy addons and expansions but DLC.. nope, mainly not

  • Comment removed

  • the best game ever! = The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! that is an old, awesome game^^

  • Counter strike? 10-11 years old, Source 7-8 years old.

  • @1337Murdoc And Valve is suposed to release a new Counter Strike. Forgot how it's suposed to be called (reloaded, CS: Run or something like that)

  • @GuncaFromlv CounterStrike: Global Offensive

  • @GuncaFromlv Counter Strike Global Offensive

  • @1337Murdoc Counterstrike came out before source. The current counterstrike is called Counterstrike Source because it was remade with the source engine.

  • Comment removed

  • why does he never talk about halo?

  • Good heavens, he actually pronounces NES and SNES. How rarely I hear that.

  • Rage is the most original FPS out there atm, go play it, it's good.

  • @WOOHOJEHA ur joking right?

  • @gamertrio no. why would I be joking, it's original, and fun.

  • grinding, like in Minecraft with level up or mob grinders or strip mining, where the whole game is about grinding mobs so you can level up and enchant a tool that it probably only gives you a unbreaking II even though you spent an hour grinding orbs to get level 40?

  • @GellyfishProductions Just wait it hasent been confermed yet but spark might be developing swbf3 check out tuggiegamereviews for swbf3 rumors

  • if they make dragon age 3 then i hope its more like origins

  • lots of ps1 games look shite but there are alot of platform games or 3d platform games that still look good... also final fantasy origins are still good as there are lot of 8bit games that being made today... imo

  • I used to love PS1

  • eugh... the gameplay is horrible!!! please stop the guy puttin heal mines and makin the monsters heal themselves ¬¬ its painful to watch

  • @lamezorlord Its TB with the Yogcast. They play badly to annoy TB. Its funny when you watch the video with the right audio. xD

I don't watch the video with the mailbox. TB just adds it just to have something in the background video wise for each mailbox.

  • @TheHumanWithNoName i seeeee... i stopped watchin the magicka playthrough way before this point so i had no idea... but as general background (i know he just puts in gameplay) you gotta admit... without that wee bit of info, its a grim sight!

  • @GJSpiece i am sad to say i have actually never played Okami :(

  • @Lovik64 There's still time for you to play, don't worry. But try to play the PS2 one, the Wii one's controls are kinda bad.

  • Comment removed

  • no longer doing "and the game on the background..." ? :O

  • @Ryndika it's Magicka.

  • When Azeroth Daily reached 79 episodes, it was ended. Lets hope that Mailbox will go on for much, much longer than that.

  • i just bought a bunch of copies of pong which isn't any different from the original other than being turned HD but i bought them for some friends who have never played it and for my twins which won't be born for another few months still >.> if the first video game ever isn't a classic i'm not sure what is

  • i cant focus with that kind of gameplay XD (heal yourself! heal yourself! heal yourself! heal yourself! heal yourself! :P)

  • mdk2 was awsome indeed

  • No kidding when i heard "Baldur's Gate 2" i got nerd chills..My favorite game to this date. And i have it installed and will probably play it after this video. :>

Also, no bioware is not necessarily in decline, but they will probably not be able to achieve something like the baldur's gate series again. But let's see, DAO was an excellent game and if the third part is as good or better, they might have something comparable.

  • C&C Red Alert best old game ever in my mind.

  • STARWARS BATTLEFRONT 3

  • Super Mario World from SUPER NINTENDO!!! That game is AWESOME!!

And Halo! :D 10 years old.. Still lovely! ^^

  • @rexioco there are that hard lvl in that game... i was just able to beat it coz of the stars.. maybe i should try that again...

i just found a 23in1 Gameboy-game witch work just on the original Gameboy.. the only gameboy i still have is a colour-naked.. i gived the old my "nices"..

a SNES is it allways worth gettin´ .. most game veriaty ever, not sure but sure...

  • @rexioco Why has no one mentioned Pac man that is the best example. But everyone is entitled to thier own oppinion

  • 80k difference in votes. gogo, TB for King of the Web!
