What kind of primitive fucker could possibly dislike this masterpiece of a song?!!! Teenage Snuff Film & Pop Crimes are some of the most extraordinary works of musical Art I have ever had the pleasure and privilege to hear.
just saw the rowland movie. it was really good. it was bothering me all the way through though who he sounded like . i reckon he sounds like jarvis cocker mixed with someone i cant pick but is on the tip of my tongue. all i will say is that rowland is/was/ and always will be fucking amazing and he wish nick HAD let him sing shivers and I wish heroin didnt fuck up my guitar heroes. tmrw im going
@delakota1 I have yet to see the film, but the trailer for it looks amazing. He quickly became one of my favorite musicians from the moment I first heard These Immortal Souls. I've never been a fan of drugs, but at least they make for some incredible rock music.
God I can't understand I found this now. I´m a long time fan of Nick Cave, The birthday party and The boys next door, but never really paid any attention to Rowland S. Howard. But this is absolutely extraordinarily!
thank you to the poster of this song(s) i am still feeling the loss of Roland's work and just needing to reflect on his great contribution. Feeling his loss, but need to stay close to what he did
@stankerpooch As it is clearly stated in the description / info for this video... "The song at the end is a clip of 'Ave Maria' from Rowland's latest (and probably last) album 'Pop Crimes.' "
@StickyMike thank you and im sure its stated clearly but sometimes im clearly too drunk to read...so thank you for writing me twice, i needed it, cheers.
wow, i love this tune. his voice and his guitar playing - wonderful. I've been listening to a lot of The Birthday Party recently, and seen folk saying "rest in peace", but i never realised he died so recently. Shame. But a great legacy that he's left behind.
Was Blessed to see this Genius poet guitarist, singer, writer, dark Romeo Angel once in concert - thought there would be more shows...He did as much in his last year as his health would allow - & make no mistake, it is Brilliant!! - "So long soldier,...we're deep in dutch,...I miss ya' so much..." from Rowland's 'Pop Crimes' ~

incredibly well crafted slideshow, on top one of my all time favourites... Last broadcast of the Dead Radio from it's DJ's immortal Soul.
