Should I buy Razer Lycosa (mirror edition) or Razer Tarantula, can't decide and I don't have any experience of those keyboards. Please, answer. Thanks!
i want a deathadder, i have a g500 and the grip feels weird, destructor is awesome i have that too, i have a g15 keyboard and wouldn't have it any other way, i have a g35 headset 7.1 surround sound ftw
Yes its a good keyboard. I didn't have any problems yet. My friend told me the touchscreen could get broken or the keys wouldn't work but I haven't got any of does problems yet.. So i'm more than happy.
One brand duds are funny ;-) especialy razer ones coz ppl buy this product for its "badass design" which looks actualy lame and can be apealing to 14 year old xD
Personal preference (since everyone else is doing it):
Mouse: Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical
Pad: Rocketfish control/speed (double-sided)
Keyboard: Laptop (Dell Studio 17)
Soundcard: not exactly sure
Headset: Plantronics Gamecom 377
Ok, so those aren't my preferences (I do like the mouse, though), but it's my current setup LoL. For Christmas I'm hoping to get the SS Ikari optical, Razer Piranha, SS QcK+ or Heavy, and possibly a Logitech G13 or Belkin n52te so I don't kill my laptop keyboard.
SteelSeries makes superb gear. You can NOT beat the XAI with it's 5001 dpi/cpi right now. Even for a low sens gamer like myself, 5000 dpi is EXTREMELY precise. Most people think that games stop at 1 sensitivity, however, most of the popular ones will take decimal values. I play at 5000 cpi with .2 game sensitivity resulting in the speed of 1K dpi but 5x the precision
Very funny, logitech makes sometimes good products. The keyboards from logitech are over priced and they suck overall. G35 is a good price for the channels it has. G9 is mainly for snipers in my opinion because the way your wrist drops down.
Razer Carcharias(going to be swapped for Steelseries Siberia black headset. The mic was busted on the headset when I got it, and the bass is very difficult to hear. I'm staying away from Razer headsets, but their mic are still amazing, and keyboards too :D)
the steel series qck+ is for slow tracking users like me with a medium sens that is what i use and i love it i want to try the death addder out but im currently using a logitech g11 with the logitech g5
Used to have Creative HS-1000 Fatal1ty Gaming Headset which slowly began to break down in the course of... 6 months. So I now own a SteelSeries Siberia.
i can map any key to be a macro on a dollar store keyboard , i really dont get the whole gaming keyboard nonsense, the mouse thing however i do get , to bad i cant find any 2 years later gaming mice review, id love to not buy a new razer every 6 months like ive been doing for years now lol
get the kone, trust me it's something you'll keep forever. personally it's the most awesome mouse i've ever had. worst case scenario is you spill coke or something over it, mail support katching new mouse on the way <3
Get the Razer Tarantula...Lycosa has been testified over and over again to break. Like the media touch controls will start acting up (opening stuff , closing , going up and down = crazy) and the Lycosa breaks much easily
I still use the lycosa til this day and i don't have a problem. You have to make sure you keep everything up to date.Only thing that went out on my keyboard is the media light, other than that not really a big deal to me.
Razer Piranha. The SteelSeries Siberia is quite good too. But everyone who are in the room you are can hear what you hear. The sound does not stay "inside" the headseat. Hope you understand :p
Nice, i have the deathadder and lycosa. For a mouse pad i am getting either the destructor or a steel series one, atm i have a blue pad. My current headset is the microsoft life chat lx-3000, but i do like the piranha
Can i get something straight, almost all the comments are like "what do you mouse pad is better or keyboard of mouse" this is really annoying its all about preferences so please stop with theses comments
Do you have any experience with the Goliathus pads? I was think of a destructor, but I was hoping to save and get the maxed size Goliathus, and I'm unsure if speed, or control would be better for this sensitivity on the Deathadder(i'm going specific, because I don't know if this is high or low): Drivers: 1800 DPI, 1000hz polling, 1.0 sensitivity, no X/Y specific, no acceleration/ Windows: no changes/ Game: 12.0 sensitivity, no smooth, no invert. Thanks in advance :]
I don't have any experience with the goliathus pads. That seems really high to me having 1800dpi and 12 in game but your driver sens is to 1 so i'm not sure how that would work.
after a long searching I decided to save my money for a lycosa and not a crappy (at least in my hands feel like p**p) G15
as for a pad I was looking into the destructor!
now I saw this vid from only two months ago of my favorite reviewer saying he like from experience what I liked from reviews! (I know I maybe talk too mush about him but it is just to let you know how good he is in that and get other people to stop listening to douches and instead to him!!)
I agree, everybody is different, depends on handsize etc :). I used to hae a Razer Diamondback 3G, im not dissing Razer, but i didnt like it =/ the material on the side of Razers mouse` makes your hand real sweaty, so i switched to the intellimouse explorer 3.0 which i prefer :D buts all on preferance
is that the 2.1 siberia you have or is it 5.1? btw is it important to have 5.1 headset if you only going to use it for music and movies mostly of the time?
It might be everything that the Lycosa is not. Thick, no backlit keys, no macros and so on. It just feels great! Even if I'm a razer fanboy I had no problem throwing out my tarantula. If you get the chance, take it!
And headsets. Why buying many "cheap" headsets when you can get a real headset. Just because it´s not made for gaming doesn´t mean that it is bad. Like Sennheiser HME-25 would probably beat the crap out of any gaming headset.
Hello Chris. I really like your videos, I have watched almost all of you videos. I ask you now, that are you going to make up video about Razer Lachesis in a future? It could help me to choose a great mouse. Im now between on DeathAdder and Lachesis, but I dont know which i should pick up. Thanks
Indeed, Anyways I sent you a message bout two days ago wondering if you can reply to it, If you would like to that is. :o, Till I have enough cash i have a basic Razer Diamondback 3g lol. Pretty swift and great for gaming.
Right hey. My eXactMat speed side has a scratch on it and is now unplayable it is so bad. So, should I get either the, QcK+, Razer Goliathus Alpha Speed or the Cyber Snipa Aluminum. Quick answer would be appreciated! Thanks =)
Why did you pick the Lycosa over the Tarantula? Maybe because the Tarantula is too long or because you haven't tested it? Why would you pick the Piranha? It's a stereo headset. I agree with the mouse pad and mouse though. (maybe the Mamba though if I could test it)
I have a review on the tarantula and i have used it. i am away that the piranha is 2 channel speakers. i like the lycosa because i do, its a slim design, any key can be a macro key, keys are a bit bigger than the tarantula, and did i mention i can have more than 10 macro keys?
i use DeathAdder and i got Goliathus Speed edition cause razer website said its good match for it so i kinda trusted them ^^.i got lycosa too cause its much cheaper then tarantula here
The purpose of this video is what "I" recommend, so if i didn't mention anything about it i don't know what to tell you. but to answer your question, do some research on what the difference is on those mats. If i was using a cloth mat i would get control

MolotovDaSkwerl 2 years ago
man today I ordered the deathadder.
after a long searching I decided to save my money for a lycosa and not a crappy (at least in my hands feel like p**p) G15
as for a pad I was looking into the destructor!
now I saw this vid from only two months ago of my favorite reviewer saying he like from experience what I liked from reviews! (I know I maybe talk too mush about him but it is just to let you know how good he is in that and get other people to stop listening to douches and instead to him!!)

I agree, everybody is different, depends on handsize etc :). I used to hae a Razer Diamondback 3G, im not dissing Razer, but i didnt like it =/ the material on the side of Razers mouse` makes your hand real sweaty, so i switched to the intellimouse explorer 3.0 which i prefer :D buts all on preferance

hi there, Asian, I got a question; do you still have the Mako?
pdude1911 2 years ago
Have you seen or tested the Razer Megalodon. I'm not sure whether to wait for that or just get the piranha.
source14 2 years ago
hey asian why you won't allow other user's response videos?
HerrFausten 2 years ago
i do allow it. what are you talking about?
chanaman12345 2 years ago
thats what it says in the description
HerrFausten 2 years ago
"Dumb" comments and/or video responses.
chanaman12345 2 years ago
is that the 2.1 siberia you have or is it 5.1? btw is it important to have 5.1 headset if you only going to use it for music and movies mostly of the time?
alact 2 years ago
Watch my video on reviewing these headset
chanaman12345 2 years ago
Does sound for this video was recorded by that SteelSeries Siberia mic on your shirt?
Latvian2727 2 years ago
yes
chanaman12345 2 years ago
Have you ever tried a steelseries 7g keyboard?
It might be everything that the Lycosa is not. Thick, no backlit keys, no macros and so on. It just feels great! Even if I'm a razer fanboy I had no problem throwing out my tarantula. If you get the chance, take it!
And headsets. Why buying many "cheap" headsets when you can get a real headset. Just because it´s not made for gaming doesn´t mean that it is bad. Like Sennheiser HME-25 would probably beat the crap out of any gaming headset.
breddin 3 years ago
why buy a "cheap" headset? well expensive ones obviously cost too much.
CerialSquirrel 3 years ago
Doubt the expensive stuff is ALWAYS the better.
NSS4d 2 years ago
wow I have all the same gear except I have a cheap headset.

Hello Chris. I really like your videos, I have watched almost all of you videos. I ask you now, that are you going to make up video about Razer Lachesis in a future? It could help me to choose a great mouse. Im now between on DeathAdder and Lachesis, but I dont know which i should pick up. Thanks

As the video says, what "I" recommend from a personal preference and opinion is the deathadder as of the date of the video.
chanaman12345 3 years ago
I had an MX518 from Logitech, it would just put pain through my thumb into the palm of my hand.
Is the Deathadder better for smaller hands?
PwnageHawk 3 years ago
hey chris is there a way to ajust the deathadder logo lighting to it dosent turn on/off and just stays on?
hfpLachesis 3 years ago
Indeed, Anyways I sent you a message bout two days ago wondering if you can reply to it, If you would like to that is. :o, Till I have enough cash i have a basic Razer Diamondback 3g lol. Pretty swift and great for gaming.

chanaman12345 3 years ago
Right hey. My eXactMat speed side has a scratch on it and is now unplayable it is so bad. So, should I get either the, QcK+, Razer Goliathus Alpha Speed or the Cyber Snipa Aluminum. Quick answer would be appreciated! Thanks =)

chanaman12345 3 years ago
I'm using Lycosa keyboard, Lachesis mouse, Mantis Control pad, Steelseries Siberia headset for gaming and Sony MDR XD-200 for music.
dz1ncha 3 years ago

villadsen11 3 years ago

villadsen11 3 years ago

Why did you pick the Lycosa over the Tarantula? Maybe because the Tarantula is too long or because you haven't tested it? Why would you pick the Piranha? It's a stereo headset. I agree with the mouse pad and mouse though. (maybe the Mamba though if I could test it)
xInstincts 3 years ago
I have a review on the tarantula and i have used it. i am away that the piranha is 2 channel speakers. i like the lycosa because i do, its a slim design, any key can be a macro key, keys are a bit bigger than the tarantula, and did i mention i can have more than 10 macro keys?
chanaman12345 3 years ago
I <3 your room man but seriously throw some of the amazon boxes lol
and at your gaming preferences i say u are 100% right but dunno i think i would like a SS QCK more

i have the same setup instead of the deathadder i have the daimondback becuase it fits a bit better in my hand then the deathadder.
and my razer-carcharias are coming in the mail =D.
quick question
i want to get the goliathus mouse pad but what should i get speed or control?
lil0egy0kid 3 years ago
The purpose of this video is what "I" recommend, so if i didn't mention anything about it i don't know what to tell you. but to answer your question, do some research on what the difference is on those mats. If i was using a cloth mat i would get control
