OMG 1995! Just discovered this track and freakin suprised me by the magic oldskool sound. Love the -never-ever-gonne-let-you-go sample. Thank you Todd!
WHAT AN INTRO......MUSICAL FLOODING @ 0:30 AND 0:46!!!!!!!!.IM SIMPLY BOUNCING WITH JOY!!! IF THIS SONG WAS A SWEET BAR, I THINK IT WOULD BE A TOFFEE CRISP!! SWEET BUT CRUNCHY....
MY ALL TIME BEST TODD, ROUND BASSLINE, DEEP SAMPLES AND THOSE BEAUTIFUL BREAKS. UNBELIEVABLE TRACK. THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING AND HELPING TO SPREAD THIS SUPREME RYTHM!!!!!. REDJAM40 IS ON THE MONEY...... YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT AND YOU ARE 100% ACCURATE...
He has had his critics over the years - many saying that he always sounds the same. But tunes like this fly back at this critics. Tunes like this will never die!
Even if was to give uip making music today he will always be remembered within the music of House &Garage. Remember in this period you had Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler, 95 North, Blaze, Larry Heard, Grant Nelson, Dave Lee (Joey Nergo), Mood 2 Swing, Marc Kinchen all trying to bring out bigger &better. Best Period in House music.
At one stage in England, especially in London, when he visited for the first time & he made a guest appearance within a certain record store. They had to corden off the street. He was big. I mean Huge in a underground level with regards to House music. His unique style of creating House music with so many samples was so unheard of. Yes other Dj's have used samples in House music. But to use the amount that he did & to get that soulful sound was amazing. He also tries to mention God in his tunes.
This was Todd period for me from 1993 to say around 2001. I believe that he gained his confidence from his belief in God. Yes he is a Christain & gives thanks to his talent to God. However he listen to & learnt alot from listening to previous ginats in the music of House music such as Marc Kinchen and the Masters at Work. I think in a Interview he even mentions Kerri Chander as well as a major influence. He is rated today as one major pioneers of using over 10 or 20 samples to create 1 tune.
Ooooh I'd forgotten bout this one.... aaah more memories from those good Gass club days and Frog and Nightgown... Dominic Spreadlove etc.... thanks romforddj....
Todd Edwards will always be remembered in House & Garage music. If there was a House & Garage music hall of Fame he would be inducted into it.
He gave the whole House & Garage music fraternity another way of creating House and Garage music. However, this is considered the golden period of House & Garage music.
From 1986 to 1996 the music that was being put out was brilliant! But the strongest period within that period was from 1990 to 1996 - it seemed like every track you bought was a winner!

Grant Nelson(London, Uk) at one time was the man. Then London got hold of Todd Edwards(New Jersey, Usa). It was like History was repeating itself again but in a different music form.
In the late 1960's London proclaimed Eric Clapton as "God" when it came to Rock Guitar. A few years he was, then came Jimmy Hendrick to London, & blew everyone away with he's interpretation to play Rock guitar.
The same happened to Grant Nelson, when Londoners started hearing Todd Edwards music releases!
Got to write again man this tune is killing me!!! Big up yourself for posting this greatness!!! Give it the thumbs up guys if u agree this is a Great Great TUNE!!!
This is the Sound that all of know Todd Edwards by. This is wicked, and if Uk Garage needs to come back to where it was. They need to listen to this all day...
