thank you soo much ! I've a amazing new high jeans in a bright blue and I've searched so long a cool shirt but I couldn't find one. Now I can make one by myself. Thank you ! ♥
Salina...it takes a big person to share something great! I am an artist residing in Seattle and I hand-paint on shirts...this would add some ooomph to my creations. Thanks!!! This is a valuable lesson. God bless!!
Thanks so much Selina. My friend dies thus all the time but she keeps it a secret how she does it. Now I know and can use this technique on some if my shirts. Thanks again!
oh my god, i've seen a ton of tutorials on weaving and this is by far the best i've ever seen lol. usually you cant see what the hell the people are doing with what strings because they like to pick a black shirt or the camera is at weird angle or too far away. but i love how clean and simple your drawings are :). every step is shown and explained thoroughly :D. thank you so much!
very clear instructions. thanks. on the funny side, my sis looked over my shoulder and thought this was a hair "weaving " video LOL..she was like "ooohhh new hair weaving technique?" LOL
salina you've just helped me discovered a whole new world! hahaha. I wanted to copy the kind of designs I see on a girl who appears in a TV show and I found your videos and now I can do much more things than her! I've just seen two of them, but I'm sure I'm gonna spend the whole afternoon watching them, learning, and then practicing with my old shirts. Now I'm gonna wear the most original shirt in my university, hahaha, thank you so much!
Hey guys, it's Adam Saaks here. If you like this video and want to learn more about my T-shirt cutting then YOU ARE IN FOR A SURPRISE!!! I wrote an Ebook to help you learn become successful at shirt cutting or ANYTHING you want to do. IT"S A TELL ALL!
This is amazing!!! I've been really into screen printing lately and I was thinking about starting a small clothing line because they've been turning out really cute, but I was getting tired of printing on basic v-neck tees and tank tops. This will add the perfect twist! I can't wait to try it out! :]
instead of having the pieces of fabric and the cut out spaces go in straight lines, the fabric comes to cross like an X with the loops going down the center. just make sure you cut enough strips so that the last one is the final strip so it ties ok when youre done. :)
hey just an idea. on the twisting weave that goes down the middle, instead of going in order going from the top down, you can start from the top, pull in the third and twist it to make the loop, then pull in the second that you skipped. and keep going. skip one then go back.
you seriously changed my wardrobe!!! i have literally 30 band tshirts and i love the designs but they were so boring to wear because they had no shape in their cut. now that ive cut them, they're soooo much more fun to wear!!!! thank you!
i love tutorials like this, you make it so clear :) i had no idea how to do either of these, and now i can do it without watching this over and over again like most tutorials. thanks :)
i s so confused when i watched the others tht u weaved on but after i seen this i realied ho easy it was! lol thanks for adding this vid on here! i love how you did this vid :) very neat!
Thanks so much for this tutorial... I only have one question... When I tie the ends, you always seem to see the knots. How do you do it, so it looks invisible? Thanks for yr answer,...
@Riani83 Hmm do you tie it the same way I show in the video? If the strings are relatively thin, and you just do a simple knot, it shouldn't be that noticeable.
@salinabear I do have a question, are there specific clothing materials that can be weaved or does it apply to all? Because I think that if you cut a material made of cotton, for example, it could rip up further along the cut upon stretching. Is that so? Please let me know which materials this technique applies to, thanks!
@1so9 It should be all kinds but I haven't tried all kinds lol. I usually use something cotton. If it's a thicker cotton, I'm able to cut strips thinner, but if it's a thinner material, I have to be careful to leave enough room inbetween. It doesn't rip tho!
