  • @AlexizzDeath That is the SWR LA15 amp 100watts

  • Nice!

It is good to see someone play traditional style bass for a change.

    I am sick of slapping.

  • so god said: white men, you can have politics and plantations, mexicans, you can have good food and shitty water, and black people, you can have sports and the bass guitar.

  • That is one beautiful bass. really good playing, I enjoyed it...

  • ParpikexGapu, You need to mount thicker strings (at least 45-135)

  • me still finding hard to jam those blues lines yano

  • Hi! Please, would you be so kind and helped me? I have Schecter Stiletto Elite 5 string bass (neck-through) and I´m not able to drop the tunning down. It´s tuned BEADG from factory, when I try to drop the tunning, the strings are banging on the fretboard - absolutely unplayable state. ADGCF - mission impossible... Thanks for help! Peace!

  • hey man, how bout a vid showing off your entire bass collection?

  • Epic bass but it wasnt built for this type of music :P more of a rock/metal bass

  • REALLy nice man!!

  • what's up Gamble? The last time I spoke to you was back in 96 or 97 while stationed at FT. Riley 101st FSB. You played the drums back then and always invited me to see you play in Aggie Ville. You turned me on to Boney James back then also. Playing Boney James today made me google you becuase I knew you would still be in music...and to my surprise you've taught yourself how to play Bass. Keep grinding bro. SGT Smith

  • @sirlovemehard no one has said 'negro' in 40 years.

  • You sound real good brosef.

  • Hey, man - like what I'm hearing. pretty cool. I have the exact same bass, lefthanded. Love it!

  • You've got to be kidding me! Did you have experience with other instruments before you started on bass?

  • damn amazing

and you have a fantastic style to the way you play...very classy haha

  • My compliments on teaching yourself and doing so well!

  • I'm diggin your style, Nice!

  • dude, you got skills!

  • my life savings (starting today) are going toward a schecter custom 4.

  • dude i just got that exact bass yesterday. i love it you gotta get it

  • my friend got that bass yesterday too!!!

  • dude my cousin just got that bass too! it was gnarly! when he got it, he started flying. hes the weird thing, he was naked. heres the weirder thing. he had no dick

  • We really did not need to know that. Nice playing, btw. I want a Rick 4001 soooo bad, just because of its tone- and it was played by THE best musician to ever live- Macca!

  • FUCK U

  • @DrunkLaserTagPlayer

No, we really don't need to know that. If you want to be a dick, go somewhere else. I don't care about his penus, nor do I care about his nakedness. Please keep that shit to yourself, dickhead.

  • Are they really that expensive?

  • schecter stiletto custom 4 is like 550 bucks at my local music store.

  • NighttR3aper.....I have the Studio 6 version of this bass and will be selling it on ebay soon....I am a drummer and well this bass is way more than I need....It is in brand new condition.

  • hey man nice bass I love schecter basses espically the stilleto series. im getting one next week the extreme 4 string. it will be my first bass and im teaching my self also kudos to you bro. although i love rock, what is the best tip you can give me for starting out??

  • Learn scales then start improvising in different scales.

  • i have this bass it rocks for any kind of playing.

  • cool man good playing, lovley bass! golden!

  • Nice Bro, i'm starting to play bass myself

hope i'd be almost as good as u

    keep it up

  • Thanks man! You can do it! Practice daily! Surround yourself with other bass players and ask a lot of questions.

  • loved it

  • Very cool. I like the bluesy sound.

  • Was this your first bass?

  • This was my second bass.

  • What kind of bass did you start on?

  • Man, black people have all the rythym.

  • man... that was just freaking awesome. i like the way you look into the camera when you finish. it all like "say something now"

  • LOL! Man that was more of a wheeeew look!

  • Excellent sound, you AND that bass are awesome. :D

  • Thanks! I sold this bass on Ebay a few months ago but I've upgraded to the Neck Through Studio5 Version and it is awesome!

  • what is the difference between the diamond series and the stelleto basses? cause i can't tell, does the stelleto have a more funky sound

  • Diamond Series is just the line name. They also produce the Diamond Series lead guitar. As far as quality I've owned both Schecter Stiletto Diamond Series Bass, one was the Custom 5 and the other is the Studio 5. The Studio 5 is the higher quality neck through version and I love the sound and tone of it!!!

  • well im thinkin about upgrading from my thunderbird up to a five string similar to yours but a deep red color i play one at gc and it was epic and i was just wanting an opinion

  • Try the Studio 5. It's solid!

  • how can i tell if it's studio 5? is there a distinct marking or does it's shape resemble the shape of your bass

  • The Studio 5 is the neck through version made of one solid piece of wood. It also has 5 knobs, Volume/Pickup Balance/Highs/Mids/Lows.

  • ok so if it had 5 knobs that ment it was a studio 5?

  • The '5' only means that its a 5 string bass. The 'studio' tells you what kind of features it has. All this information (and more) is easier to find if you just search it on google. =)

  • B A E U T I F U L

  • how did start teaching yourself?

  • nice, i was thinking of that bass, but in red, sounds nice

  • dude I own the same bass and also Im Self Taught check my videos

  • wow, I remember that bass I luv'd it soooo much when I tried it, but when I went to buy it..... sadly it was gone and I was much too impatient to wait. Glad you enjoying your bass, if you need lessons, check my page out and listen to the pointers I give. If you have any questions I will answer them immediately. may bassdom find ya

  • Thanks! I checked out your video and love them!!! Sounds Good! I will send you a friends request. R U On Myspace?

  • schecter pretty make some of the best basses around..i have the stilletto custom 4 string

i play metal but even tuned in CGCF their tone crushes most basses

and ive owned a warwick before lol

  • I own the Neck Through Studio 5 Version of this bass and man I love the sound! It is very punchy and it GGGRRROOOWWLLSSS!!!! I also strapped it with KEN SMITH Strings!!!

  • is it gold or a light color wood

  • Features a mahogany body with figured maple top. Very beautiful bass!

  • Nice bass playing. How did you teach yourself? I'm going to teach myself some until I can get bass lessons. Nice bass to, I'm about to get a schecter hellraiser 5-string bass.

  • Thanks! I start by teaching myself the proper way to hold the bass, where and how to place my thumb on the pickup when playing. I watched the basic beginners lesson here on YouTube to understand the concept of the bass. I practice for hours until all four of my fingers started to fall in place, between the frets. After that I build on my practices.

  • Your welcome, and that sounds like a confusing thing to do haha, but I guess I'll try that and I'll get a few dvd's to and eventually start getting lessons. Its pretty cool that you're a self taught bass player who's only been playing for about a year and a half, and you're already pretty good, keep it up.

  • Take your time. You can do it!

  • nice playing that bass sounds great.

  • i got the six string version of the custom. schecter is amazing. even with those passive emgz, it sounds so good.

  • Schecter done a good job on those bass guitars!

  • its a year and 5 months...

  • no its not...

  • looking at buying this bass. would you recommend it? anything you would change about it?

  • This is a great bass! I own this one and the studio 5 version. If you are looking for a more solid sound and a deeper growl I recommend the studio 5 version. It's also a neck through bass and the sound is KILLER! Play both before you purchase. GOOD LUCK!

  • from 12 - 27 i can't hear anything

  • It's there, I'm grooving on the B-E and A string. Turn your subs on.

  • yea , i should have thought about it , cuz i have a mac , doesn't make a lot of noise , still anyway great improv

  • Thats a nice bass. I have an Elite-5

  • How do you like the ELITE?

  • I love it. You can get a good variety of tones from the built in equalizer. Once you find all the tones you like it makes a good live performer. :)

  • haha, OMG. You have been playing bass a year and a half and you are better then most bass players out there. It took me years to get as good as that. . . you are awesome man!

    JC

  • Thanks JC! Late hours at night when I should have been sleeping I was up playing my bass. I wish I would have started much earlier in life though.

  • the studio five is way better but nice style

  • Thanks. I have that one also.

  • should i get the studio version?

  • Oh Yeah! I have the CUSTOM 5 & the STUDIO 5. The STUDIO 5 version gives you a more solid sound and it is a neck through bass.

  • Dude, you've only been playing for a year?!?! Quit playin'!! But I want to get the 6 string version of that same bass. How do you like it?

  • I love it!

  • I'm gettin on bruh. I know God is gonna work it out!

  • กาก

  • awesome playing man

  • Wow great playing! I actually just bought this same bass online! I cannot wait to get it.

  • I love it man. It's the bass I've had my eye on for a while, and hopefully I end up with the 6-string, just to mix it up. But for 1 year of playing that was pretty awesome

  • hmm what you play is great but im my opinion the bass sound isn´t the best I miss the warm, low mids but thats just how I´m thinking about this.

    Well done ;)

  • You are right this SWR does not have the best of mids. That's just my practice amp. I've started purchasing my killer rig though. GENZ BENZ or HARTKE head with 4X10's and 1X15. Stay Tune!

  • I've been drooling over this bass for a while... I have mostly four-string basses except for my six-string and my octave 8-string, and would like to see how a five feels.

  • Check EBAY.

  • How do you like the Octave 8?

  • I love the octave 8-string. It gives an incredibly full sound because of the double strings. Before I picked it up, I was skeptical of how the double string would affect my playing, but it feels surprisingly natural. Sounds great with a chorus effect, too. All around great sound- especially if you play in a three-piece band.

  • Man I think I'm going to try that out soon! I also want to play the fretless bass.....

  • Nice bass isn't it? I play the same thing in a 4-string, same finish and everything. I've always found the 5th string a bit excessive in most cases.

Anyway, you're pretty damn good at bass, but it sounds like you need to turn down the mids a bit. It could just be my speakers, they're quite old, but in my experience when someone is doing any kind of recording, the low-end should go up and the mids should go down.

  • Oh yeah I love that bass! It gives me the sound and the feel I'm looking for! N-I-C-E!!!!

  • Man! Nice beat..Keep up the nice work.! BassOn.

  • Congratulations, man! Finally a bass player playing like a bass player not doing masturbating slaps and others Circu´s stuff.Thank you!

  • Mr. Ellis, you were completely right about my loving the Schecter. It is an unbelievable instrument. Man oh man, long live Schecter, hey? Keep bassing.

  • i have the same bass just with a sunburst finish!

  • Oh dude, happy anniversary! Yesterday was your first day of playing, yeah? Keep it up!

    I started January 21, 2006

  • Thanks! I'm going to post some more videos soon so Youtube can see how I'm doing now.

  • I am about to buy this bass!

  • About an hour ago, I ordered a Schecter Custom-6, but with a Vampyre Red Satin finish... man, I can't wait, it arrives in two days!

I love the song you played, and the sound of your bass, it was just too awesome. Keep bassing it up

  • Felling it.

  • Thanks!

  • Good playing. But im jelouse caus you have the exact bass that i want.

  • I am a self taught bassist also. I have learned pretty quick as well. I have been playing for about 3 months (from like 3 months of guitar) and I am good enough to be in a blues/rock/country band...

  • Practice as much as you can.

  • nice playing mate. quick learner!

  • Nice playing bro. I've recently gotten into bass and I was just wondering what did you excaltly learn to get this good so fast??

  • if you really did start less than a year ago you are clearly a natural. nice work

  • and im gona check this one out tonight for 250 its a steal

  • you really like schecter yesterday i got a studio 5 elite red thru neck what a buety i feel like im cheating on my ibanez and tommorro i get my warrick (oh wel rockbass but hey)

  • REally good, keep it up!

  • i just ordered the 6 string stiletto studio series

  • I was originally going to get that bass, but it was out of stock and I couldnt get it for another 2 weeks, and I needed a bass ASAP, so I got a Schecter Custom 6, Vampyre Red and a DigiTech RP90 pedal for the same price.

  • omfg I got the same thing man... no pedal though I love that Schecter. It's freakin' awesome! Isn't it?

...man we oughta have some sort of like youtube bass battle :P you record, i'll record and we can post!

  • Well unfortunately, I dont have a webcam, but it would be pretty epic. I play stuff like Mudvayne, Three Days Grace, Atreyu, etc...(Mudvayne bass lines are very hard, like NOt Falling or Dig, try lookin up the bass tab on those songs)

  • oh man i play more like funk stuff not metal or rock... but yeah that'd be pretty sweet.

  • Damn, you replied fast lol.

  • Yeah, I try. lol

  • let's do it! It's all about fun!

  • yuhhhhh i just got the same bass yesterday, upgraded from an old fender p bass. its deffinately the best bass ive played in a long time =] props on your playing man.

  • Oh Yeah I love the sound! I bought the CALIFORNIA CUSTOM 5 DIAMOND Series also!

  • dude** hes a really good player too

  • is it just me or does this did kinda remind you of New Orleans?

  • I can tell that this schecter bass is a GREAT buy since I ordered the left handed version of this and its IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere else.

I have to wait till July, but I think it should be worth the wait!

  • Oh yeah I love the sound of this bass!

  • Wow... I was at guitar center 2 days ago, and I saw a 5 string Schecter bass like yours. I was going to buy it, but I wanted to find out if other bass players would recomend that model. Would you recomend it? Are there certain things about it that you do or don't like? I'm curious.

  • Man you will love this bass. It's great all around! It's beautiful! It's very light in weight! It's growls on those Low B's!!! When you adjust the action on it this thing plays even better!!! No complaints!!! Go to Guitar Center and get it before somebody buys the last one!! LOL!!!

  • when ppl play metal and the guitar is tuned down to a D, do they tune the bass down too?

  • yes, but if you play a 5 string, it isn't necessary to do so

  • thanks

  • That's awesome, dude. Are you playing in BEADG or EADGC? I'd normally be able to tell myself, but my speakers are destroyed, and I can't hear crap out of them.

  • Hey man. How do you like that schecter? I'm thinking of purchasing that one. Does it get nice fat warm tones and is it versatile?

  • Nice playing man!

  • Thanks Rick!!

  • thanks a lot dude :)

  • Hey do you recommend this bass for a first 5 string bass?

  • Oh yeah! It plays great!!! If you know how to adjust the bridge on this bass it can play even more smooth. Your fingers can play clear notes with not much pressure applied.

  • for only been playing since last agaust and taught yourself this is very impressive

  • Thanks! I'm learning a lot from YouTube

  • nice grooves man, keep it up!

  • Thanks X!

  • i love that diamond series bass its beautiful

  • Thanks! I just bought the Schecter California Custom 5 in Cherry. Man it's beautiful also!!
