so I'm a bass newbie...I'm learning by learning tabs for michael jackson/jackson 5 songs.....I got a bass tab for this song....but it doesn't sound funky like this....is there anyway you can post the frets/chords you used? I can't see everything you do....this is my favorite song ever!

Well, that's not different than... :D

Octave is the same note only 8 notes higher.

It depends on your taste, I like it lower. I am not jamming, I pretty much play the original bassline (not always, but hey....)
