  • Oh thank you for answering =) I have this doubt ´cause I have a friend in the Philippines and her birthday is approaching and I want to record a video of me singing the "mañanitas" which is a song to celebrate someone´s birthday=) but I don´t really know if they sing that song too hehe if they do, it won´t be something relevant Haha! well thank you for replying =) god bless you!

  • @abdielfromhell If 'mananitas' is the song in this video, then this song is not commonly sang in church or other places in the Philippines. I'm aware of one Filipino dialect that closely resemble Spanish - Zamboangeno, province of Zamboanga, way south of Manila.

  • so you guys in the beautiful Philippines sing the "mañanitas" too?

  • @abdielfromhell I don't know. Left Philippines before Vatican2, latin mass et al...

This vid is @ the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico City. All masses & hymns were Spanish. If not for the universality of the Roman Catholic Mass, I would not have been able to follow the mass prayers & readings with my English Sunday missal.
