I wouldnt say it is underrated- not by me anyways as Jimi ws one of the masters- along with Syd barrett of Pink Floyd,Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton- all some of the best guitarists in history I think-oh Les Paul was pretty good - even as a player of jazzy type sounds- he invented the electric guitar also you young kiddies who dont know that- or who werent even around back in the good ole days.Dig it -this is what you call immaculate guitaring

Jimi had such a unique approach to the guitar and it was never really distorted either. This is my favorite Hendrix tune hands down! The most expressive lead guitar work ever recorded in my opinion.
