  • actually one way to look at Hendrix, he is still with those that admire him and study his technique. His inspiration to searching guitarists will never leave us.

I had the fortune of seeing him 5 times and i met him in a gas station with the experience, after a concert in Providence Rhode Island in 1969. I admire most his spontaneity, what an improviser! The ultimate master of TONE!

  • Jimi was real serious about studio work and was a perfectionist. He wasn't a fuzzy-headed stoner when it came to laying it down. How many careers did this guy launch? How many picked up a guitar because of him?

  • That Seattle rain burned in his mind

  • JH just had to use a wahwah pedal for a song about ducks in the rain, the guitar sounds like a duck on acid :)

  • One common misconception is that Hendrix did not know music theory. Quite the contrary. Listen to any of his stuff and you soon realize he knew his stuff musically.

  • just learnt this song on guitar,i can play the notes but dam that sound is something no man will ever achieve other than the man..... hendrix of course!!

  • The only song that sold more wah-wah pedals was "White Room".....

  • I think Jimi's body of work was unparalleled/unrivaled by anyone, especially give his relatively short musical career.

  • wow and this is jimi just havin some fucking fun.he's like the embodiment of music itself

  • (Cough) - "Aw, it's rainin'" - "Rainy day, dream away" is very good for you if you live in England

You can sing it every day...

  • ahhhhhh

  • My mom turned me on to Hendrix in the 70s.I wore this side of the Electric Ladyland album the fuck out!Still rainin still dreamin, house burning down, all along the watchtower, voodoo child. It doesent get any better!!!!

  • È vero! È vero! Sembra quasi che la chitarra stia parlando!

  • Its like his guitar is talking.

  • never can hear it enough is right

  • Classic rock. That's Stevie Winwood on hammond organ.

  • @fidomusic

It's not Stevie Winwood, it's great Mike Finnigan, check out the video "mike finnigan on hammond" - he's one of the greatest organists! Cheers!

  • @fidomusic

It's not Stevie Winwood, it's great Mike Finnigan on organ - one of the best of our times! Cheers!

  • @fidomusic

  • This is the sickest track Jimi ever layed down, and no one's even heard about it, makes it even better.......

  • the guitar was talking to me in the beginning, i swear

  • outrageously exquisite

  • Takes my head off in spiraling chunks at 2:00 on.

  • I gew up with Hendrix in the 60's and never heard this

  • @jimbronxny Hello my friend, so happy to see you again!

  • Wore out the grooves(literally) on this side of LadyLand!

  • This experience is one of those times where you and your mates just play until something catches everybody.....Hendrix is still Inspiring 10x10e12

  • Where have the Organ's gone in today's Music?

  • @xavier3961 Couldn't agree w/ you more. Love good organ (synth.) music. i.e. Deep Purple's

  • @xavier3961 I'm wondering where have THE MUSIC's gone today...

  • @kpsars True that!!!

  • @xavier3961 The only organs in today's music are dull brains and foul mouths.

  • Its like the guitar is trying to talk.

  • waoh-weaoh-woaahow wewha-wa-we-wa-wa-we-wow... cool song although it annoys me that people treat him like jesus or something, he's just fiddling around with some nice sounds

  • @rockshred5150 Different strokes for different folks. For me his improvising, his tone, his songwriting, his flair, hell, he's better than Jesus. Now if you're talking about Clapton, to me, that's overrated although I love everything Cream.

  • just take a zip on your fat spliff and enjoy all you want at CTT, that's where this music lives!!!

  • rainy brain down the drain ...

  • Ah Jimi, the things you let us listen to, that Stratocaster of yours, those lyrics...triple A stuff!

  • Who needs a video for this, since I shut my eyes and imagine my own?

  • had my wah wah peddle for three weeks,

need a new one already now thanks to mr.hendrix.

  • cigs are cigs bitches

  • That guitar is talking...

  • I wouldnt say it is underrated- not by me anyways as Jimi ws one of the masters- along with Syd barrett of Pink Floyd,Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton- all some of the best guitarists in history I think-oh Les Paul was pretty good - even as a player of jazzy type sounds- he invented the electric guitar also you young kiddies who dont know that- or who werent even around back in the good ole days.Dig it -this is what you call immaculate guitaring

  • cool name mr. unfuckable. mines putocabron!

  • Man, he sure knew how to make magic with that guitar. Know what I'm saying. It's not about notes and scales, but feelings, can do dig it?

  • @romienomie

    Very wise words.

  • @romienomie

i think hendrix said it was somewhere between the notes...not just the notes.

  • GREAT Vibes ~

  • best enjoyed at 9am monday morning, while looking out the window at the trogs going to work.

  • In 1968 I was 12, when Jimi played straight to my heart. He still do. This is one of the favourites besides that Electic Ladyland is a stunning album.

  • thanks, phenomenal. jimi lives forever. this vibe reminds me of vancouver so much it's ALWAYS raining out here!

  • who else but Jimi could make his guitar talk?!! Stunning genius, what a loss!

  • Anyone who listens to music on laptops is being blasphemous. Laptops are bullshit for listening to music unless you have good headphones, and I don't mean those shit headphones that are packaged good just to make you feel like you bought something cool. You need the bigger headphones.

  • i have a sony stereo that i plug my macbook into :D

  • please dude, stop trying so hard. Can't we all just get along, I mean isn't that what Jimi would ahve wanted?

  • @l337man4 shut the fuck up faggot

  • what cha wanna do is fucking buy 100 dollar headphones and then turn them all the way up and smoke a blunt then a joint then a bowl then a mentol cigarette then a blunt again and laythere and fucking trip balls

  • @consityis actually that was really funny. I hope it wasn't you who gave me a thumbs down for insulting people's crappy laptop speakers, cause that would be uncool.

  • nah i put thumbs up for everything even insults to me

  • @consityis thanks brother, I'm up thumbing you right now for being so cool. Take Care.

  • hahahahah good idea mate but mentol?isnt that what dickheads smoke?and women?

  • The menthal in the cigarette kicks in the high better no shit thats why i started smokin cigs

  • One of my favourite Hendrix tunes :)

  • Nope. Mike Finnigan plays organ on this song. Stevie Winwood's contribution to this album is on Voodoo Child. Tasty nonetheless.

  • you might say that this is an enlightening presentation of the proper use of the wah wah pedal

    pure genius

  • Yes it is

  • haha!!! I can ever here the panning on this piece of shit laptop!!! God this freakin' cool music!! Still sounds awesome after all this time! Jimi had such a unique approach to the guitar and it was never really distorted either. This is my favorite Hendrix tune hands down! The most expressive lead guitar work ever recorded in my opinion. Gotta dig little Stevie Winwood on the Hammond B3 Organ. So beautiful! We miss you Jimi!!!!!!!

  • I can hear this song about thousends of times - if life let me- and always enjoy it, such an underrated song.

  • @rajuas I totally agree with you. It seems like Jimi is playing the guitar as if he were f****** a woman :D

  • Imagine if he were still with us. What a talent. Hendrix will always be relevant.

  • Absolutely rievans, the mind reels with the thought of where he would be creatively now and who he would be collaborating with. They were reports that just before his death,he was about to hook up with Miles Davis and Paul McCartney among others.
