This is a beautiful tribute and an important message to treasure your loved ones while they are here! Alzheimer's is one of the most dreadful diseases to afflict us and anything we can do to bring more awareness of how pernicious it is, is helpful!
it's me again, I've already cemmented the other alz-vid of kate. And again i have to say that this desease is one of the worst, because you don't loose the person you love so much untill she dies, but a long time before. I can't explain how it feels like standing in front of that person and hear her asking "who are you? I don't know you, I've never seen you before"
I adore Kate as many of you do..She is a great woman! And I watched this video many many times and Iam touched by it everytime again. You did a great job. Thanks*
Thank you! My grandmother (oma) just died at the age of 91 from this cruel disease last week (Sept 30). To hear my mother cry at the loss of her mother, is heartbreaking. I loved Oma. I hate the disease and what it did to her. Thanks to Kate for making awareness part of her crusade for all our sakes. AKB
I am sorry about your grandma. My condolences. My great-grandfather died of Alz. as well and it is a horrendous disease and it is unfair, because it steals the essence of the person. I've heard that Kate attends the New York Memory Walk for Alzheimers on October 21st. One day there might be a cure...
You are very welcome. It means a lot to me that you liked it. You can be proud of your grandmother and that she discussed her illness in public. She has inspired, educated and encouraged many people. And she won't be forgotten.
i've seen what it can do.its probably the worse thing to have or deal with. you lose the person inside the body to the point of the person being an empty shell.i am glad no one in my family has it.i dont think i would beable to have the strength kate did/does.
Oh, I cannot believe, I haven´t left a comment yet, cause I´ve watched this video over and over. I think you´ve done a wonderful job. The music fits perfectly and the voiceovers are causing goosebumps. It´s an respectful tribute. Thank you for the share.
great video!! Good job... You can really see in Joans eyes that she's sort of not aware that she has the disease... I mean, she explains stuff that are quite hard to understand already... Oh well... This video will really raise awareness.. Good job :)

Thank you. This was my first video and I was very unsure if I should post it because I don't want to be disrespectful.
mAstadourian 5 years ago
I don't think you are disrespectful. You are only trying to raise awareness for a very devastating disease. You are doing a very good thing.
