Well actually this water was deemed horrible for drinking because of the high mineral content and it doesn't really grow crops either. Until we showed up it was just bubbling out of the ground going right into the jordan river and dumping into the great salt lake.

It seems like you are wasting a lot of water. Why not recycle it back into fish holders?

@JustLiving34 because, the water goes back into the ground and filters through all the minerals then goes back into the water table that they use. they do recycle it but just in a more eco freindly(cheaper) way

This holds the key to our facility. We have been farming fish on this spring for 40 years. The water was declared unsuitable to farm with as the mineral content and ph is very high. 500,000 gallons a day pop out of the underground artesian spring regardless of what we do. There are no pumps. So in a way the water was already being "wasted" we were the first to actually put the water to good use :)

ha ha thats funny the second tank is full of Kenyi and actually a nice strain to boot. But I admit the video was rushed and the glare plus the pixelation makes it hard to really see the fish! Kenyi males are orange and females are blue but as they morph they go all sorts of colors!

i think its a good way to breed the cichlid this way!!!.... why!?. bec. cyclids are agrresive fish!.. they always try to fight each other, but bec. of this "fish farm" they are housed together with other fish making them more sociable and breeds out the dangerous agression trate in them..... but still! cychlids are cychlids!-annoying each other is their personality.

my fish r a very rare species of african cichlid they r living in a state of the art dulux fish tank at the moment my half shark half sword fish and quater of cichlid r in a a cosmedic sleep as they were attacked by a vishus rabbit whilst eating there daily vitimans but hope fully they will b ok .

The water is quite clear with the low resolution of you tube and the huge glare inside the building it is very hard to get good video. However there is much more particulate matter in the tanks yes since I have no mechanical filtration which you may understand is only for cosmetics and doesn't really mean anything to the fish. No out of hundreds of thousands of fish I only will have a few that die in a week and that is almost always because they are 6 years old and it is just their time. Thanks
