At a charity hockey game in his home town of Hamilton Ontario. A stray hockey puck leaves the ice and strikes Wheels while he was cheering on his team. Neil Hope died two days after this.

He will not be guest starring in any future Degrassi episodes.

@fisteberg yes, sadly he is really dead. very questionable circumstances in my opinion. he has been dead for 5 years & it was only made public last week. He dies from "natural causes" in a rooming house in Hamilton, Ontario (near Toronto). Apparently he did not keep in touch with his family very often or his extended Degrassi family. It really is a shame.

Unlike the new series, this one actually resembles reality. It masterfully avoided soap opera status and dealt with real subject matter. The current version is nothing more than poor competition for an already atrocious Gossip Girl.

VC Andrews did the same thing when she wrote Flowers in The Attic. She didn't think anyone would take her seriously as a Writer of Horror Fiction since she was a Woman. I remember being such a big fan of her Books when I was a kid but I liked That Was Then, This Is Now by SE Hinton more over than The Outsiders.

@caramelchick22, LOL. I have to admit, Luke has a nice body. Too bad he wasn't used more on DJH and DH. He had a few episodes where he at least was in a secondary story (Taking Off, Parts 1 and 2 DJH, Nobody's Perfect, which sadly isn't uploaded, this episode, It Creeps and The All-Nighter). He appeared in most episodes but didn't have dialogue in quite a few, including the series finale (which also isn't on youtube). A lot of characters met that fate. I find Joey, Patrick and Yick hot too.

Even if I caught someone under age 18 or 19 smoking cigarettes and called the Police, they would likely do nothing about it.

Since I'm totally against underage smoking, and smoking period, I wish Canada imposed laws against giving minors tobacco products.
