Ok, do you guys know who started Vista rumors in the first place? Apple... I work in an electronics store and I tell my customers all the time to get Vista and a PC over a Mac... Granted Macs have a sleek smooth look and great customizable features, but battery life usually sucks on a Mac because the intense brightness of the screen. Also, I have yet to see a Laptop running Windows Vista with the same specs and get the same results.

In fact Windows and Linux do a far better job of maintaining a larger application base, and are generally faster with both platforms running the same hardware.
To swipe some misconceptions here, I'd love to tell you, that opening so much apps, won't actually eat up computer hardware, it will just use up physical and virtual memory, and your GPU and CPU will get bound irl whils you are actually using one active program.
If, you would be able to open this much applications that actually eat up CPU and GPU even when idle (try to extract 70 files at once, or run 70 3dmark test footage at once!

You see. an Imac is a laptop built into a screen. They overheat easily, come shipped with bad psu, and a lot of them have faulty fans. I know, I repair them. I have played with hundreds of macs. And this particular 2.16ghz duo with 2gb ram is the same one I use at college for Ps and Final cut. My 2ghz c2d vaio with 2gb ram runs circles around their macs with vista untouched from factory. When I boot vista it runs around 90 processes and still is 10X better with 3d art in Adobe Illustrator.
My Sony Vaio with 2ghz Intel Core 2 and 2gb Ram will outperform your computer with VISTA MAXED OUT. I use the same mac you use... at college. and my laptop rapes their 2.16ghz 2gb ram macs. (Which REALLY surprised me)

I have both XP Pro and OS X Leopard on my PC, and while Leopard is a nice OS that shows more finesse than Windows, it's not faster, and I really wish the anti-Microsoft crowd would stop trying to "prove" otherwise. I like OS X, I really do - it's just not AS good as some people try to make you believe.
OS X knows how to multitask better, because each separate process gets its own channel to run on. If one app starts messing up, it doesn't take the rest of the processes down with it. This is why PCs fuck up so much. Because MS wasn't smart enough to think of incorporating something this USEFUL into its shitty OS.
The last time i remember that problem was on windows 98. Xp and vista run each program in separate memory space so if one process crashes does not affect the other ones...

I have both XP Pro and OS X Leopard on my PC, and while Leopard is a nice OS that shows more finesse than Windows, it's not faster, and I really wish the anti-Microsoft crowd would stop trying to "prove" otherwise. I like OS X, I really do - it's just not AS good as some people try to make you believe.

OS X knows how to multitask better, because each separate process gets its own channel to run on. If one app starts messing up, it doesn't take the rest of the processes down with it. This is why PCs fuck up so much. Because MS wasn't smart enough to think of incorporating something this USEFUL into its shitty OS.

The last time i remember that problem was on windows 98. Xp and vista run each program in separate memory space so if one process crashes does not affect the other ones...

The Mac has a market share of about 4% and I'm very convinced that it would have been much higher, like in the 15% or more if Mac users would just ignore the stupid comments of some foolish Windows fanboys and instead show what the Mac has to offer. I dont need photoshop cause i do black and white photography done with iso 3200 film at night. So if i get a chance to get photoshop like a trial or something or the actual copy i will do a multi tasking video of it and maybe like logic pro 7.
