  • This is a great song.

  • New version, sung by Maizie Williams, now previewed on the official website, maiziewilliams(dot)com

  • MAZIE WAS THE FRIST MEMBER OF LONG LIVE boney m

  • great song which was never released :-(( this is not a typicall boney m because it is marcia barret doin the leading vocals and not liz mitchel..and the music and the production on this one was not of Franlk Farian but of another guy, and that is why he claimed they could not use the name boney m..this frank farian made such a fortune on the back of these artists...an awfull man

  • @lemonnis It was relased! You could get it on 7", 12" and maxi-CD. It was after a short time however withdrawn.

  • who cares who sing lead it's boney m end of

  • mazie was the member of boney m

  • thank u for saying everyone in boney m hold thier own

  • Hi, All of the members had voices on the song for they paid for it them selves.

They were not recorded together and each one was brought in a different times to do their parts. Barry Blue was the producer and I was the manager at the time. I idea was for Bobby, Marcia and Maizie to own the track. Madeline was paid a s a session singer.

  • I was the one that made and recorded this track and all of the members recorded their vocal including Maizie Williams. Boney M was 4 people and they all played their part.

  • @Novanod100 I take it you are Donovan Nelson, BM's manager. First, let me say that this was one great record that had deserved a better fate. Second, Marcia Barrett had an online biography on her website (it's withdrawn now) where she claimed she recorded all the vocals on this one and mentioned that a try-out with Maizie the second day (when Madeleine was also there) was unsuccessful. Madeleine Davis said to me (like you do) that Maizie was recording, at least on the B-side Custer Jammin'.

  • Maizie Williams never sang a note on "Any" Boney M song. Liz wasnt in the group when this was recorded. This sound is Marcia Barrett.......

  • who cares she part of a goup BONEY Mit was'nt one person and boneym it was BONEY M END OFF .

  • thank u chizlit

  • I GUESS LIZ WAS'NT NEED ATALL

  • @JermimaSweet no, you are Right.

  • that my girl mazie her voice .see the moive great

  • that my girl mazie her voice

  • Que hermosa es Marcia Barrett

  • Liz Michelle is the best.

  • @Muuzip99 not really

  • Good Song. I always loved Liz, but Marcia should have done the lead vocals on many more songs...

  • @fustyans you're right!

  • Works so perfectly without Liz Mitchell! She wasnt needed that bad after all.

  • Remix by PWL Dave Ford!!! so good should have been a hit!! I have the 12inch!!

  • przeniosłem się 20 lat wstecz :)

  • Boney M is great! I am in love ....

  • Crazy Williams mimed her way though 30 fantastic years but still never learned the song words it was rather pathetic watch felicidad on music laden she don't know any the words its embarrassing truly shocking lived of other peoples talent .

  • Just like Liz miming all the way thru Oceans of Fantasy!

  • @boneym22 yep,so why did they keep her? Why did farian keep lyric sheets from her and bobby until the last minute, why was her home in germany ransacked to destroy contractual evidence? Why did she win her court case? Why was she good enough to sing live?.Get your facts right whoever you are!!!!!!

  • I'm sorry ..but she died in 1975..not in 1974!!!!!

  • had no chance to be a hit because Boney M producer Farian got this song banned most likely because he knew it would be a hit and without him!

  • this track was released on the compilation Boney M. "More and More Gold: 20 Super Hits Vol. III"

  • "I wanna Banana!!!"

  • was that a comeback?

  • that dude needs t oput his shirt back on!

  • no not on any album its a unofficial line up frank faria owns boney this record was stopped

  • I love this song

Was this ever on a Boney M album?

  • maizie williams cant sing and she tells lies only liz and marcia sang on the boney m recording

  • @boneym22 and liz's replacement

  • who was Josephine Baker anyway?

  • this video is my video i recorded this clip for a guy danni lang and he uploaded it to his site. but the original master copy is my one. yes marcia did well

  • What a cool video and a nice tribute. Thank you!

  • This song has been made by the lineup of Marcia Barret (lead vocalist), Madeleine Davis (background vocals), Bobby Farell (yes, it's really his voice!) and Mazie Williams (who never sang on any Boney M. recording).

So there is no Liz Mitchell and especially no Frank Farian, which resulted in a lawsuit Farian vs. this lineup.

Nice song anyway, very eighties style.

  • In my opinion not very eighties style, rather typical Boney M's style. It sounds like 100% Boney M. from best times. Even we don;t know, we can call this recording Boney M.'s track. Nice video. Marcia Barrett in 1990 still looks very good. Maizie too. What was the role of Mazie Williams in Boney M.? They says Maizie never sang on any Boney M. recording...

  • minus the video, and this is an amazing song.

    very fitting.

  • @jubilation87 good video

  • I'm a huge Josephine Baker fan, and have studied a lot of her work, but this video is just the wierdest shit I've ever seen... wtf???

  • Don't knock it. Without this song's release I would never have heard about JB let alone studied her life as you have.

It doesn't matter how we hear of things as long as they act as a catalyst to learn.

  • Nicetribute to the great Josephine "Queen of the music hall"
