It's quite obvious. attack it from behind its head cant reach all around so it'll have to turn but i dont have anything for you when you reach when dragons attack when flying.

Get Dragonrend. it forces their soul to the ground and you can kill them within 30 seconds.

1. Get a meele weapon/bow with 300-400 dmg

2. Kill the dragon in 3-4 seconds

NO,the easiest way to kill a dragon is the following

1: become chuck norris

2: look them in the eye

I usually kill my dragons in a minute or less...unless they refuse to land. I go full melee with shield, bring Marcurio, and pop a flame/storm atronach. Dragons take forever to recover from shield bash, so I use it every 2-3 strikes. Unrelenting Force will interrupt the breath attack (effective when they're in the air). I'm under the atronach stone plus I'm a Breton with magic resist enchants, so I take relatively little damage from a breath attack.

A faster way is to dual spark it... it can be finished within under two minutes, Delphine is the bait and the dragon is always after her. Just go behind the dragon everytime, won't do crap too u.

i killed this dragon much faster at level 4 dual flames unrelenting force and nord bow and iron arrows (when i was out of magicka waiting for it to recharch) and i didnt hide up in the hills i just stood behind the rock where Delfine waited for you until he landed then a ran up to him from behind like fuckin rambo and burned his ass xD

Wow. it took you like 4 days to kill that thing at Lv 7 or around there. I found a Great Nordsword and that killed it faster.

Just hit the dragon with "Marked for death" and hit it with a handful of arrows.

Also, you don't take into account that you get a companion for this fight. honestly, you can take down any dragon untouched provided theres a mudcrab or two around. For some reason, even at lvl 42, dragons seem to think the mudcrabs, horkers, etc are more of a threat than i am.

i just finished the part where you go to Soarthal with Tolfdir and then you have to make your way to the Arch-Mage to tell him about your discovery, but when you exit there is a dragon, and usually dragons arent THAT big of a problem but this fucker is, no matter where i go, or where i hide, this fucker keeps killing me, and ya i do damage to him with my bow and also using shouts and magic but he always seems to get the best of me, any suggestions?

@ritchiemartin1234 yes i have one tip... this dragon, for me was an Elder dragon. didn't touch me once. he tends to land in the middle of the courtyard a lot, and i mean A LOT. simplay wait for him to do this, and hide behind the pillars when he uses his fire/frost. he can't melee you cause he can't fit in the opening, and the pillars are wide enough to block the breath attacks. pot hot wth the bow whenever he isn't attacking and take him ot like a boss.

thank you, this helped, also i got a bit of help from some mages so i wasnt the only one attacking him lol, it just seemed to be difficult at first because i wasnt very high level so i wasnt as strong as if i were a higher level, thankz again, what i was doing wrong was trying to take him on in a more face to face instead of hide so i could avoid him attacking me :P

dragons are so easy with higher level archery and a good bow/arrow. just keep your distance and it's a piece of cake

fastest? I think two handed sword preferably with some extra fire,shock or freeze dmg. or 2x weapons and just use power attacks. might have to drink a potion but that's all. went faster than that. killed alduin 3 times now and thinking about a 4th time. no high lvls though. just 12 (nord 2x wep), 16 (high elf shock/magus) & 10 (red guard 2handed) so entertaining game, trying to break my record everytime XD keep getting better XD someone actually completed it in 2hr 16min something O_O

the easiest way is to run straight to the next village, have the dragon eat all the villagers and kill him while he's busy :D (then loot the corpses, of course, and sell their stuff. money money money~*)
