@bass109 i mean, we are talking about a ride!!!!!!!
is a fucking ride(greates ride ever created), you moron.
we are not talking about satan here, we are talking about a mansion with 999(do not complain about the number that resembles the 666) ''HAPPY'' HAUNTS.
He always gets confused! "What do we call it? House of illusions? - Marc: Tha Haunted Mansion... Then with crump, he does it again! He was such a great person.
Oh, I love Walt so much! He's just one of the most amazing, and kind, and wonderful people in the history of the world, I think! Can anyone imagine how the world would be now without Disney? Everything would be completely different! He made so much progress, you can hardly even take it all in!

@LemurCreature Don't be such a fool. Walt Disney was not the patriot he portrayed himself as on tv. He had in fact had a liberal agenda disguised as patriotism and true American values. His films promoted liberalism and drugs and homosexuality which is why Diney has dsuch a big gay fa;llowing. Yes the world be different without him but in a good way.
@AmericanMega Well, I feel truly sorry for you that you are unable to see the magic that Disney brought to the world. It is your loss, and your loss alone.
@LemurCreature Don't feel sorry for me. I am informed and you are the fool. Keep beleaving in the liberal madia lies and being a fool and I will keep on fighting for the true patriots in this country and tekking the truth.
omg i'm so stressed lately with college work but i love disneyland and Walt Disney's voice is both smooth and warm, just LISTENING to him makes me relieve stress!!!
Haha, that was a concept series of paintings that showed a man's eyeballs growing bigger and bigger until they became a singular eye. Never made it to the Mansion but wow it sure does look like Wall-E! LOL
i wish i could tell rolly crump that i really want to bring back knott's bear-y tales in the future at disneyland.cause i want to become an imageneer and bring it back and come up with refurbishments to most rides.
We've been holding back and saving our Haunted Mansion coverage! So far, we've covered Expedition Everest and POTC on PipersPicksTV - but HM certainly is on the books!
wow so originally the portrait of the man on the dynamite in the backround where the two sinister portraits are at the backround.he had big popping eyes originally.
A lot of the subtleties in the stretching portraits have been unfortunately lost over the years. The original paintings wore down with all the stress of the stretching room pulling and rubbing on them all the time. They have to be replaced by copies (sometimes much poorer quality copies) every few years after they fade. So it's more than possible that Davis' original work has a far greater level of detail than what you might see today.
i got pretty freaked out when i saw this as a kid,but i think it's suppose to feak kids out not that much adults. but this was a new things so maybe some adults would be surprised
I wonder what happened to the "House of the Weird"? We used to visit Anaheim Disneyland yearly in the late 60s and 70s but I don't recall ever seeing anything like that. Was it in Florida?
And for those debating. Walt supervised both attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean was the only one he saw completed. The Mansion opened after he died, but it was his idea and he did have a hand in designing and concept work.
Those last few seconds were the exact words from a CD I bought, not exactly what I was hoping for but the first track shows that it was for a radio program years ago.
I looove the Haunted Mansion. Its in my top 3 favorite Disneyland rides. Its so great to see it in the development, and with Walt himself....thanks so much for uploading.
wow, I didn't know they had that much done while Walt was alive. I know they were planning it when he was still there but I thought he died before they got that far. Excellent video
I thought he died in 66. But that's not the point. In this video, he was obviously still alive when they were working on Haunted Mansion. He died before they finished, but they aparantly had more drawn out then I thought before he died
No, Walt died in 1966, and both Pirates and the Mansion were his idea. Only, Walt saw Pirates copleted, He died before the Mansion was completed. It finaly opened Aug of 1969. Just a bit of Disneyland trivia
Now I know there's alot in there that's wrong. I watched a program and it said that it was Pirates of the Carribean that Walt supervized before his death.
Disney would never see how the haunted house would become so ... scary :))

and the wagon designed for the weird museum is now a Madame Leota Wagon outside the Haunted Mansion in WDW.
It is the same design but it sells HM stuff and NBC stuff
