This song was written as a joke by a guy named Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. It was supposed to be a spoof on Bob Dylan, and got released, and turned into a big hit. Anyone who truly believes this is a Grateful Dead song knows nothing about the band, and nothing about the song. Actually, you would have to intentionally be foisting a hoax to make a video claiming this is the Grateful Dead. Nice try. Proof that you can fool some of the people all the time.
