I have a 2002 Malibu with 85,000... and more problems than you can imagine. Head gasket, thermostat, fuel pump, power lock and window switches, fan blower resistor pack, brakes, squeaking suspension, anti-theft ignition sensor failure, countless tail light replacements etc. And I try to keep my car well-maintained and am not aggressive on the road. If I were to consider buying one of these new ones... they had better actually be BETTER. lol

The Malibu is on its second complete redesign since 2002. Just because it has the same name does not mean its the same car. With a 5 year replacement cycle in the industry, you really need to start over every time. This car is 100 times better than the 2002 model.
