@st4rk1ll3r666 yeah sure i do agree with you with FFXIII but that ain't a long game it did not take me long getting close to the end and you only had one character to control in battle, not many summons etc but if they keep FFVII the SAME as it was but basically all better with graphics and tha then it will be about 2-3 discs, MGS4 i think is probably the game that has almost filled the dual layer disc and that took 2 days to complete with the movies.

They only switched because the nintendo 64's cartridge were expensive and didn't have enough space to fit the game. The series is not exclusive yes, but the games are and should stay like this.
The remake should be a playstation 3 exclusive because:
1. the xbox 360 does not have the cell proc and is not powerful enough to run the game (look at the final fantasy VII demo), unless it's been downgraded
2. To sell more playstation 3 and give sony profit

Maybe true, but the playstation 3 can do better (not being fanboy, just telling the truth). Red alert guerilla's graphics are really nice, but killzone 2's graphics surpass it and the engine only uses 60% of the playstation 3's power for the most part. Red alert guerilla's engine uses 100% of the xbox 360's power and not even that is equal or better than killzone 2's.

IMO SE has been working on the remake since the Tech Demo was released. They said it would take them around 5yrs to actually make a remake of FFVII. So, I am guessing we won't hear news of a remake until 2010 at the earliest. I'm sure the reason XIII keeps getting pushed back is b/c everyone wants to keep working on FFVII :)
well i think they are going to fully work on it when they finish 13 my guess is they wont have any ideas for 14 yet so they will start on 7 i am thinking of buying a PS3 for my birthday because i like MGS titles and i do want to get FFvs13 so cant wait
He's right, the only reason why they haven't begun creation on this yet is because all of the original members are busy with other projects like FFXIII.
Once thats done, this is no DOUBT going to be in the works.

If they do announce a remake and confirmed it to be a multiplatform title like final fantasy XIII, I will be very, very disappointed.
