It's due to the fact that most of the people get rogue kills, meaning when you pick it up, you cannot get out of the crater for around 3 minutes. So if he gets killed in that 3 minutes, he loses everything :).

if u kill a normal person u get pickup penalty thats means u cant use protect item if u pick up u cant leave for 180 seconds but if u kill ur target you dont get pickup pennalty and can pickup all items whitout worry

the corrupt dragon has a timer, if you use for 10 seconds and its new u still have 29:50 mins left, 30 mins when FULL.. its only counted as a use when its used.
