Great Video, great control and form, I use a lot of these moves too. But it was nice to get a few more new ones from you...backwards wall one, the high plank with twist leg and the head stands are new but thanks man you guys are rocking it.
Keep it up and keep shoot out these sick Videos I love the new challenges. I'm going to go pratice now so thanks.
This is actually an exercise I learned from Bruce Lee's fighting method by M. Uhara (basic training). The way Bruce use to do it, he'd use a standard bench press (not an olympic bench press), hold on to the barbell supports and do the same motion of getting your legs just about parallel with the bench only you DO NOT let your butt touch the seat. It's VERY hard. It took me a few weeks before I could do it. I use to do 10-20 reps. Even in my 40's I can still do this only not as many.
@tlast2O12dude I would call it "repeatedly failing to stand upright after attempting a backbend". Ha ha j/k but I wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration for it.
I don't understand why anyone would waste time doing these exercises. They are very unnecessary. Deadlifts, overhead squats, weighted crunches, weighted planks, weighted twists are all you really need. These are just a waste of energy
yeah, I do those at the gym and this is the first time I have ever seen anyone else do it. I must look like an idoit when i do that! hahaha it totally looks like he is humping the ball!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
great ideas but the form is a bit sloppy...more control needs to be executed...but the ideas are creative and definitely advanced, i'm going to use these in my classes
I teach several different types of classes and the one I use this video for is my class that is only on core - a whole hour of core strength and balance. I brought into the the class what I could from the video, modified some of it where needed to suit my participants. And FYI, I'm a competitive triathlete and runner too. I train very hard. I have already used several exact same moves from this video. It has been very useful.
Awesome. I teach an entire class on core work as well. But, most of my participants would need one of many modifications for each of these exercises in this particular video, as my students are no where near this advanced level of fitness (neither am I, but this sure is inspiring me to shoot toward a higher goal of core fitness!) Turns these 2 guys in the video are not gymnasts, but you could have fooled me. :) Take care...
i broke a bone just by watching you do those things really amazing:) but i would agree with kep3g because some people cant do those things that you did:)just a suggestion anyway more power to you
fucking crazy ass shit dude. this guys gotta have a 8 pack after doing all this shit. A STRONG CORE IS THE KEY TO TRUE OVERALL STRENGTH! nice video man. much respect!
these exercises are healthy 4 u, they wont break your back. but make it stronger, so doing these exercises will actually make people quit going to lower back rehab specialists like u. NO OFFENESE!!!!!!!
Some of these don't work the core that much...for example, that exercise around 3:40 is a wrestling exercising to help develop hip and back flexibility
have you tried that exercise? wall walks like that do build hip and back flexibility but there is a very big core strength component involved in it as well.
of course! I didn't say it didN't work the core ; ). I guess maybe i don't feel the exercise work too much, if at all, b/c compared to other core exercises, that exercise at 3:40 doesn't seem to burn/work the core as much. Still a great exercise
Who exactly am I bothering? What I was getting at is the commercialized approaches to achieving a respectable core (often the issue of how they look) are not as effective as the examples in this video.
man that guy is uber strong... I went to the docs today turns out my bad back is down to weak muscles and not any spine problems... looks like I'm gonna be doing this stuff :-)
This Seether song is one of my favorites, but I liked the video better with the previous music track...a bit of The Crystal Method if I remember correctly.
I will tell you that there are plenty of people much stronger and better than me (i.e. gymnasts) but I appreciate the compliment, there is actually two different people in the video, and both of us have moved on to a different style of training, this was just for fun.
are you a gymnast? or a martial arts expert of something of the sort?
also, are these exercises meant to be done as part of one workout? like, should these be used all together in the same workout session? or are you just throwing ideas out there?
I'm not a gymnast, most gymnast's would laugh at this, but I've done martial arts for 16 years. This was the particular group of exercises I used to master the flag, it took less than a month, and I figured I'd share it. Every person will view this differently, but I am just sort of throwing ideas out there.
Thanks man, a bit difficult for some people and for me at my age for my training level/size/strenght just the one standing on the head. But for the rest very useful ideas to promote side muscles around the core, doing those sideways moves: too often basic trainings tend to focus only on straight and central motions, letting out important sections of muscles and those supporting the rotation types of movements
Thanks! You just motivated me to use all that stuff in my basement! Sometimes I look at it and can't believe I use to be down there every day... Now, I just push it aside as look for stuff!
That makes no sense, what if you work the nightshift? Besides, everyone wants the magic pill and the easy way, you have to be nutritionally sound while training for a purpose. Not eating is the dumbest thing I've ever heard from a weight loss program, and why would you put that comment on my video? There is no correlation.
On some of the exercises you were using weights like the half loaded barbell that you were twisting, are you not concerned with developing too much bulk? I ask because a lot of those looked really good and I would like to give them a try. Thanks. Great videos.
WOW, anything specific to help stabilize bench press. Pulled a muscle in my back (lower/mid trap) and cant seem to recover, figured there was a muscular imbalance. Thanks
Do you have any specific exercises to strengthen lower back and glutes to improve posture when sprinting.(mainly leaning forward too much) or anything else that could help that. also that a 17 year old girl can manage.
DAMN , you have a very strong core , man! i have a question thou.what is the difference between CORE exercises and ABS exercises? can anyone answer me please exactly? thanks , alvin
Core is considered to be the muscles of the hips, and midsection and low back. Core exercises mainly focus on stability, and movement in forward, and lateral flexion, as well as hypextension or hip extension, and rotation. Ab exercises are mostly forward bending.
a real athlete! I hate all the fake youtubers who claim expertise, don't they know we can see right through them? This is real core strength with years of practice. Notice, he's not big or musclular, but lean and strong. I wish girls appreciated this and not muscle bound guys that lose their breath tying shoe laces.
Depends on your goals, I like to keep the more advanced stuff right around 5-6 reps, but if some of this is real easy, then by all means challenge yourself.
Hey -- at 1:45, you start an exercise that I haven't seen you repeat in your other videos. You have the straight bar held above while you bend over with a dumbell in the other hand. Is there a name for that? This is your best video too...simply for 2 reasons, the diversity of moves and most importantly the music.
I believe it's called a two handed anyhow, or a windmill using a barbell instead of a kettlebell . Thanks a bunch, I'm in the process of gathering a few more exercises for part 3, just running a bit low on ideas, the other guy (blonde one) doesn't work with me anymore, so I'm on my own.
Brilliant upload! These are great! Some of them i failed to see being functional at all except maybe in the practice of sex or a wicked game of limbo. But never the less the music is a hit classic and the results are beneficial. It hurts so good.
Fantastic! I'm curious if you stick to the every other day core workout or not. And, how important do you think it is to ad resistance to core workouts? As a girl, I tend to shy away fr
I do that last exercise with my girlfriend.
