Naturally both pro wrestling and mixed martial arts have a lot in common, especially from a business standpoint therefore the UFC would want to promote their fights and shows the same way. He beat Shane. Yes not calling that fight is very questionable but you can't deny the fact Brock is trying to evolve. He just needs to learn to take a punch and retaliate.
