@BukkakeNation It's not the same, there are clearly differences, I mean I can tell this song is not from 1966 if I hear it...when a song is really good it doesn't have to be very different from the original, plus this song was made for a soundtrack for I am Sam so they should be close to the beatles style.Anyway I think this version is better than the original.

Brilliant cover by a brilliant band! such a shame they are so underated...unfortunatly most people listen to a band only if that band is appreciated by media, critics, charts etc....such a shame we let those things to influence our minds, anyway, the good part is that such underated bands have only true fans, not bunch of wannabes who know one song and claim to be fans.

Like I said to the fellow below, when it comes to the caliber of Beatles tunes, certain bands' styles and genres make the songs too different and not at all how they were meant to be. In short, most major mixes sound like utter trash, and that not being said just because I am a Beatlemaniac. Bands can cover them all they like, but when they, say, finger-paint on the Mona Lisa or any other timeless art, it ruins the song's feel and point.

@tzukishiro That is one possibility of covering a song and many people do it. Some do it good when they rearrange it, some make songs worse. Close covers which sound similar and tribute the song/band seem to do them more justice while at the same time adding the fresh and different sound of the band covering it. Take this song for example, it sounds close the original, but you can tell it's The Vines' putting their twist (pardon the pun) on it, lol. :P
