  • Hey there...you guys seem (and sound) like retards. Figure out how to work your gear.

  • something likes 80's. cool

  • amazing!

what did u use for recording the drum ? (mics, pre amplifiers, interfaces, drum brand...

    tnx

  • I just wonderd, and i am not shure if i am saying this right, but can i use a playback and practice skin in nylontissue on by batter side of my snare drum?

  • bring them down a whollllllllllle lot,

those drums are way too high O.o

  • I thought you put the drum dial in the middle of the drum

  • You are supposed to use a spacer with it so it doesn't sit on the bearing edge. It looks like he had it all the way to the rim to me.

  • Yeah it's kinda dark in the studio that's why you can't see the spacer but it's there. The spacer comes with the DrumDial and should always be used.

  • what heads use in batter and response?

  • This is what I usually use.

    Bass drum:

Remo Powersonic Clear Bass Drum Head

    Snare:

Remo Coated Controlled Sound Reverse Dot Snare Head

    Toms:

Batter - Remo Clear Emperor (two plies of film)

Response (Resonant) - Clear single-ply heads

  • drum dials are great but you still got to do the a little bit of old fashion tuning afterwards to make it perfectly in tune

  • wat tension do u use for ur bass drum?...

  • I never use the DrumDial for bass drum and snare. I always muffle a little my bass drum for more control so I don't think DrumDial would help much. We used 3 mikes - 1 inside close to the batter head... 1 close to the middle of the drum and 1 outside next to the response head. For the Snare I don't muffle it and I use only my ears. I use a tighter sound (higher tension) on it. On this track I used the Tama Lars Ulrich Diamond Plate Steel snare.

  • its 78 all around the lugs rite....

  • Yes for this studio session I used all 78 batter and response heads for all toms. But you know... after this session I started looking for a new ratio between batter and response heads. I am now going for the response heads lower than the batter heads. I recently had the privilege of talking to Thomas Lang for 2 days when he was rehearsing at The Faded's studio using my Kit. He showed me some of his concepts for tuning and I am now experimenting new ideas based on the things he told me.

  • Hey what´s up man, What tensions are you currently using for your toms?

  • Caraca, Freddy!!
