  • This is Astore Quarry. Its in West Stockbirdge Mass. YES IT IS LEGAL TO BE HERE. It costs $5 which is a donation to keep the place in SAFE conditions. the largest cliff is only 51 feet high. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise. Come to the berkshires and have a great time!

  • about this additonal information.......

  • @Phillipe1721 go to the Astore Quarry website all the info is there

  • Is this still operational for the summer of 2010?

Can we get specific instructions on where to go after taking EXIT 2 off the Pike? And where is the best place to park?

  • Can someone confirm if this place is still operational for the summer of 2010?

Additionally, there has been talk of cops and a new way to enter this jumpoff - can we get specific instructions on where to go after taking EXIT 2 off of masspike?

  • YAY- the quarry! wish it were summer..

p.s. it's actually in west stockbridge, not gb.

  • LMAO you're nice!

  • Alright guys, I will get more info up on this soon, but as of now cops are patrolling the area. The owners of the quarry are ALLOWING people in for 5 bucks, but that includes a zip-line over the river. They are trying to build a bridge. The reason for the cops, is because the site listed tells you to park on a road, and the electric company there is anoyyed by the people that park there. So there is another way in, and as soon as the lady tells me the info, i will let you all know

  • Great Barrington is in MA, Exit 2 on masspike. (MASS- PIKE ?) and we did encounter a cop who said it was trespassing but then we found out that it just was a private property and the nice lady offered a zipline for 5 bucks to let you in.

  • barrington is in rhode island, not massachusetts

  • @Mustang529

    wrong greatbarington is in ma.

    This is west stockbridge tho

  • @Mustang529 youre an idiot. This is Mass.

  • Did you guys have any problems getting into the place? The site you linked says that there is an officer poseted there now to keep people out.

  • Yes sir, a cop told us not to go, but its a private property and the lady let you in but she kinda charges 5 bucks per person but that gives you the comfort of using a zip line to cross the river instead of swimming across the current. ;)
