@DiEMOnd3007 because faking it would simply be implausible. As a magician, you can't really build a career staging elaborate hoaxes. Especially when the participants are relatively well know individuals. To presume that his tricks are faked is to presume that all the celebrity guests he's had on are sworn to secrecy. It would be a conspiracy of ridiculous proportions. If one of them admitted it was a hoax, his career would be over.

additionally in my opinion derren played the second round to check or enforce the superior role maybe parent-child role. this is confirmed with martin choosing something that is not neutral or belongs to him. therefore (your keys). martin could be quite obedient as a child.

derren 'mistake' might be used as an anchoring. "i taught you will choose the visa card. whisk a card." then when he goes bad boy bad boy, it might trigger martin to correct the mistake by choosing the whisk at the end.

i think he did it by talking to Kemp like he was a child helping a parent. he used terms like "bad boy", and spoke to him in a way that you would talk to a child by using directive phrases like "nice and tight, please, martin", "bring it to me", "stand here"
