The monitor you're viewing it with is what'd be bad for your eyes; it's the same monitor you'd view HD DVD, regular DVD or even VHS.

Blu Ray is simply the medium which the content is stored.

It says its beyond high definition, but bluray runs at 1080p (full hd) at max, so its only runs at HD, If it was beyond HD it would have to be 2160 UD (ultra definition)

Erm mate. Firstly its a 9* ratig TV. It has a ratio of 1million: 1. Not pure BS. What ratio does your TV have? If you want proof check out my video for it, has a link to the TV if you must see. Panasonice is far superior to sony bravia. I know people who have it, and even they will admit the quaulity does not compare. Your just a sony fan boy.
