I'm from Poland and I'm looking at this 'cartoon' different as some of you, Americans. Nazis were monsters. Not every German was a nazi, that's true. Everyone who starts the war is also a monster, but Americans were fighting with Nazi, weren't they? At least they've help their victims.

Saying "Education for Death" is part of a series is slightly misleading. The cartoon itself is a one-off, and arguably the darkest of films created by Disney for sure.
Also, as to the "common" comment, that's slightly misleading. There were certainly quite a few created by multiple companies during World War II, but they were intermittent compared to the other 'normal' cartoons generally shown at Saturday cinemas across the United States.
Secondly, anyone who says we are just like nazi germany should just shut the hell up. I understand Bush was a shity pres and we got into some deep stuff, but to think we are "PROPAGANDIZED" (is that even a word?) is just crazy. It's interesting to note that despite the discrediting of Nazism and Hitler, poor, innocent little Hans is the closest to Hitler's ideal. He has big, blue eyes, blonde hair, a childlike voice, and he looks like American cartoon heroes. Meanwhile, the other Germans have angry voices, small, dark eyes and darker hair. Clearly Hans is meant to appeal to Americans, but does he have to be the most Aryan? It seems a little hypocritical, and it certainly says a lot about America.

I think the problem is that Bush pissed off just about every country who's politics he messed with. In England, lots of people (including me!) are angry at how his views carried more weight with the prime minister than the people he was put in power to represent. He was not ruler of the world, and he shouldn't have tried to act like America is always right and can do what it wants wherever it wants. Unfortunately, to many people, stereotypical America = Bush. They say USA and mean George and co.

That's a bit unfair, he was telling european fairytales, and in the time and place they were set (long ago) there just weren't the other races around. It's like having an African American Robin Hood or a caucasian Alladin for the sake of "equality" - they wouldn't look or sound right, and it would make the story that bit less real for the viewer. Equal doesn't mean same. Anyway, my point is, your saying that Disney didn't have a mixed race cast does not support your statement that he is rascist.

It's interesting to note that despite the discrediting of Nazism and Hitler, poor, innocent little Hans is the closest to Hitler's ideal. He has big, blue eyes, blonde hair, a childlike voice, and he looks like American cartoon heroes. Meanwhile, the other Germans have angry voices, small, dark eyes and darker hair. Clearly Hans is meant to appeal to Americans, but does he have to be the most Aryan? It seems a little hypocritical, and it certainly says a lot about America.

Hitler KILLED Communists because they opposed him, and there were quite a few Jewish Communists. He was in no way a Communist. And neither is Obama.
