Oh dear God ;-; I'm going to AB 2011 in three days, hoping to get to the convention around 9 AM...I really hope we can get through the line and registered in a fairly short amount of time
that rlly sucks!! me and my friend were there and we got there at 7 am and were registered by 1 pm we were in line for 6 hours. this year we are both pre registering
For AB 2009 my advice is to pre register...go the day before it starts which i think is thursday and get your badges so its not that much of a long wait
You know whats going to happen next year right? Because this happened everyone is going to pre-register, so the pre-reg line is gonna be like hell while the normal line is gonna be empty!
But man that was crazy last year, my sister and I (the Wii and Wiimote) had to wait in line for about 4 hours. My friend who was a Sasuke who was there had to wait almost 9 hours!
Hopefully Anime Boston and other conventions would take example from that chaos and prepare themselfs more next time.

me and my fwend went as sasuke (glasses) and naruto(i didnt have the jacket, but a black phanny pack). we had to wait only 5 hrs. but who would have thought we actually had fun in line! made a bunch of new fwends and stuff. altough we had to wait 5 hrs we had a good time at the con and we WILL pre-registrate next time.

I also pre registration for ConnicutCon, last at ConnicutCon I barly stode in line for 15 minets. If Anime Boston is at ConnicutCon, I;m going to pre Reg there agin this year.
arg! I hated that line. I was waiting for 10 hours too! it would have been okay if it was constantly moving, but it moved once or twice every half hour. I'm angry at my friend because she got there on saturday and didn't want to wait in a 5 hour line.
well not like I am taking the side of the con, but they had good reason as to why this happened. A lot of people didn't show up causing such an event to happen. You can't really blame them if their staff doesn't show, I am sure next year it will be a lot better.

i survived line con. that was my first con n i had 2 w8 9 1/2 hours in line. i arrived a t 3pm wit my friends 1 whom made us l8 by 2 hours. n didnt get my badge untill 11:30. but it anime boston was great
Oh, damn! 10 Hours!? I thought I had it bad. My friends and I showed up around 9 AM and we were registered by noon. Three hours is nothing, but it's a hell of a lot compared to AB '07. Last year it was only about a 10 minute wait and we were done. Hopefully things will be better next year.

Yeah, normally we always pre-reg and get our badges on Thursday, but this year I wasn't sure I would go because of all my school work (I'm graduating and working on my art portfolio), and we couldn't get into Boston until 1am Thurs night. After that line I was really wishing I had stayed home this year.
Ew, yeah I saw that line. My friend on staff said they were understaffed because of Easter and there were almost twice as many attendees as last year due to the Pillows concert D:

I pre registration at connicutcon in july so I only had to stand in line for 6 hours.

Connecticon is considerably smaller than AB. You shouldn't have an issue.
