I just beat this level on sith master. The rancor was extremely easy, just like you I waited for his attacked and dodged , but I used the lightning shield saber attacks on him, because it took down his life better... ON maris brood, I just waited for her to go invisible and I would use lightning shield and she was really vulnerable to it, when invisible. I am surprised people had trouble with rancor. He does the same thing over and over again, making him really predictable and simplex.
For beating Brood herself, I mostly sabered her and used Force Lightning Shield. Shield tells me where she is, and Sith Saber Sling (is that it? XYY) always seems to break her guard and throw her down.
It requires a bit of skill with sword play but if you're on Sith Master you got that skill, and don't need to Repulse Spam.
The strategy for me in Sith Master was to use fully-charged Lightning Shields and just pound on him with various combos (Usually the XYY combo, followed by a full XXXX combo). If I had the Force I shocked Maris, if I had the shield it shocked her away, and if I had neither I usually avoided her or gave her a quick combo to do away with her.
Took me a couple of tries to develop the strategy but it works well.
This was really useful for the second half of the fight. I could not figure out the timing on force repulse; I was going way too late/waiting for her to fully decloak.
all you have to do is get her in a corner and keep slashing her and pushing her cuz she cant block shes a piece of shit there shouldnt even be a tutorial for her but thanks anyway your shaak ti tutorial helped:)
After the charge, I like using Leaping Slashes (4) into Leaping Slam (in its ribs) *flank*.
Aerial Strike is a great move for Rancors and Chickenwalkers (all 3 types) as the hit keeps stunning them and you can just keep mashing L1 for back to back usages in one leap. For some reason the move gives us Force Points with each hit. *works better in front*
When Brood appears, I typically Repulse her away. Its release has god frames. Otherwise I dodge with flips/air dodge.

Though I do sometimes screw around...using Brood as a Lightning Grenade on the Bull Rancor..or using a fully charged Saber Throw.
Brood is no threat. Just knock her down (Repulse works well enough) and keep hitting her.
