Check Hollywood if you don't believe that;). Thumbing down such a comment is silly: if they said it they said it. Just imagine the challenges she faced as a solo violinist in a male-dominated environment. Historical context, always an interesting thing!
Neveu is magnificent in this, one of my favorite pieces ever. Her death was a severe loss to the world; we are so fortunate she left behind a small but memorable recorded legacy: the Debussy Sonata and the Chausson Poeme, for example, which are unequaled in my listrening experience.
I may have just found a recording better than Christian Ferras's version.....

I must say, Ginette's interpretation is above all others.
Her dynamics are deeply detailed.I can imagine the technical difficulties just by listening to this.
