ok so to all the ppl who wer saying how this is hurting and harmful to the dressage horses, just look at there tails (well most of them) they arent pinched up, or hanging between ther legs ther free moving and floating. ive been told since i first starting riding (i hav been for 9 years) that that means or signals freedom or movement sooo yeaa sorry ppl but most dressage isnt hurting there horses
Whatever happened to "long and low"? Why is it that the poll is no longer the highest point on a dressage horse? Dressage isn't pretty anymore, it looks constricted and robotic....
When I was in her place, I'm sure the horse would put on a much happier face. Open you eyes an have a good look wich riders you pick as your rolemodel!
I don't need to be Klimke to distinguish good riding from bad riding. And unless your eyeside is damaged, I suggest you open your eyes and be open to critical thinking!
That's not what we were discussing. We were discussing YOU. Reread my comments. Unless you are Dr. Klimke reincarnated, don't make such presumptuous statements, as in saying that an olympian's horse would be happier with you on its back.
Thats exactly what I'm saying. Her horses and many others of our so called Top Riders would be happier with people who probalby can't do a piaff but don't force them in impossible, hurtful positions. I don't understand how you can support riders whos training technique have been proven to be painful and damaging.
@farbschlacht I don't want to start conflict..But I ride dressage and have for almost 10 years. And Dressage is not harmful..A lot of horses enjoy it. It is like dancing for them. Also it is theraputic and stretches their muscles. Once again I am not telling you that you are wrong.
@Ihartaddagio I agree. Dressage is for the horse, not the horse for dressage. I do dressage too, but I don't start at shows because I don't see a reason to compete with people, who don't think about what they are doing to their horses. Dressage keeps a horse healthy, if done correctly. But not every rider who competes at grand prix level has this in mind.
wwhoops i meant freedom of movement lol
