they are stable when dry, just dont touch it with wet hands and go eat, but the solution will make your hands feel like they are full of hot glass, this is the stuff that grows on corroded batteries. so if you know what that is like, then that is what the solution would do if you leave your hands in too long.

hmmm... i wouldn´t do that. Its toxicity is far too low to harm you, but as it´s soluble in water it will dissolve in your sweat and make your clothes blue. That doesn´t look really good and eventually the crystal will be gone :P

But if you manage to put a waterproof layer on it there will be no problem :-)

You CAN touch it. But if you sprinkle a few drops of the solution on an old t-shirt, and wait a while, you'll see holes growing over the course of a day or two.

adevarat, dar sunt multi numai ca in societatea de azi facand asa ceva esti catalogat drept "tocilar" si alte cele, si majoritatea se ocupa de altceva, cum ar fi drogurile si etc, ei nu vad niciodata partea frumoasa a vietii ;)) (lucrurile pe care le faci cu mana ta, care ofera o satisfactie deosebita)

intreadevar, este explozica,dar azotatul de potasiu se foloseste ca si ingrasamant, deci nu ar trebui sa fie ilegal (poate nu sunt la curent cu astea, poate intre timp s-a scos de pe piata si s-a inlocuit cu alte substante mai sigure, mai ales ca KNO3 este foarte poluant). Eu intre timp ma interesez daca se mai comercializeaza aceasta substanta, dar eu cred ca da

apropo sa te avertizez, KNO3 este o substanta foarte periculoasa, si in combinatie cu anumite hidrocarburi explodeaza, deci atentie foarte mare (si daca gasesti, sa nu tii totul intrun sigur loc, daca gasesti 500grame, imparte in mai multe bucati, ca daac explodeaza, sa nu explodeze tot, spun din experienta proprie). Dar pt ce ai vrea sa folosesti KNO3? Am auzit ca se face niste cristale superbe ;)

pai daca te intereseaza KNO3, te poti uita in magazine de gradinarit (eu acolo am gasit). De KNO3 nu stiu sigur, dar cred ca se gasesc numai in saci mari de 50kg, dar poate ma insel. Sulfat de cupru gasesti cam in orice magazin din asta cu vopsele si chimicale ;). Sper ca te-am ajutat

Try adding more CopperSulphate maybe the solution is undersaturated.

i don't think that's the problem: when i mixed it it was supersaturated, by putting cuso4 into close to boiling point water, the thing is i left it in a cold moist corner so it could not develop... now it's on top of my hot pc... hope i will see improvements ;)
