No worries I can listen to my legitimate copy of this album and look at your lovely pictures.... what a jazz genius! He really is the last word (or note) in jazz. I feel he's blown everyone out of the water ... unless someone else out there knows someone who can top Ornette???
warner brothers and your ignorant jazz-hating sleazy executives, i've made a couple of dozen home recordings of this for my non-jazz loving friends, half of whom have been converted to jazz, so more freakin fool you!!
I first found out about Lonely Woman when I read an interview by Lou Reed where he said that when he started playing guitar he was trying sound like Ornette Coleman playing a saxophone. Brilliant song by an absolute genius
You look like one who knows his jazz... could you help me find this tune... thing is, I can't remember the title, or most of the text... what I remember is, the main vocalist is male, and once in the song, one line, several women sings something like "Tell me I'm the only one.."
harmolodics at its best...thanks Ornette for the music...I had the chance to see him 2 years ago in Toronto for the first time...an incredible experience...
This has always been a favorite of mine. The Shape of Jazz to Come is one of the greatest albums ever. Ornette pushed music forward and helped so many musicians realize that anything was possible.
and my soul is mate to them,so i did know without knowing ,.awesome song

Warner Music killed the sound on this video because they don't want you listening to good music.
spamania 3 years ago 3
Funny how they record it so that they can stop people from listening to it, shows how much they believe in their product...What a shame

You have to think a few minutes about the music business before digital.

Buenas, tan solo decir que he vuelto a recuperar el audio del video.
Espero no molestar al autor, solo que me parecio una pena que este grantema no estubiese a disposicion de todo el mundo.
Cultura libre ya!

This is one of those tunes that always pops in my head when wandering the wards of New Orleans.
So much sorrow and beauty all at once.
From The Shape Of Jazz To Come to Ornette on Tenor, his stay at Atlantic was a fruitful one.
We are blessed to have Ornette's music.

Ornette represents everything I like in music.
Listening to him is like inhaling that freedom that should be inherent to any creative process.

jes101--bless the child who has young ears. i heard stuff like this in new york and it it grows on you quick there.
it amazes me how easily he moves the musicians from phase to phase and keeps them all in step with the sax.
