  • I would buy a Mac, but I'd rather spend my money on a used car, and still have some left to build a PC. lol

  • oooo! a 2005 vid!

  • Am I the first one to say it.... BUT CAN IT RUN CRYSIS???

  • or at least tell me where to download this disk as a disk image?

  • any one know how to boot something like that on a windows or mac computer?

  • In this he looks more like Noah Wyle who played him in Pirates of Silicon Valley.

  • This is where "Victory is in the bag" came from..=D

  • they should make the macintosh say: The victory is mine :D

  • That's Steve Jobs?! OMG! He's handsome!

  • 29 years ago, Steve Jobs actually had hair, and didn't have a beard.

  • @CarManiac225 lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo !

  • hahah wow..

thats crazy how just 20 years ago that was Amazing!!!

know telling what will happen in the next 20 years!

  • omg my eyes are watering

  • Mac has came a long way now. Im gettin one of those just to see the features they had back then

  • just get a emulator or summin so u can use it on a normal comp

  • lol : It's sure it's great to get out of this bag! laugh!!!!

  • i wasnt born yet:)))))

  • imagine the people in the back trying to see that tiny screen its amazing how far we have come in nearly 20 years

  • steve jobs

  • Wow...the year I was born. Nice to see how it has changed so much over the years. So apple has to be at least 23 yrs old

  • Apple was founded in 1976

  • **Hands cookie over**

  • exactly! computer intreace haven't gone too far from then. that means Mac was much more ahead of its time! :)

P.S. in 1984 there was no Windows at all! just the ugly MS DOS with command line prompt :)

  • @antipopnews

Yup, and you've never seen what Xerox PARC did research just before... :)

  • That was the big thing back then now we have iphones

  • MaC RuLeZ

  • 1984- when microsoft was nowhere, and Apple will be more up to date forever than windowses. sry for my english..

  • Anyone know what the music in the video called?

  • it's chariots of fire

  • Because Mac does get viruses, just not the same as Windows (viruses are programmed for a certain operating system, Mac isn't incredibly used, so less viruses are made for Mac)

  • This argument is old. MILLIONS of Macs are sold every QUARTER. The amount of millions keeps increasing year by year. Macs are highly used and yet........ STILL no viruses. The "nobody uses Macs" argument just does not fly. Macs can get trojans, but then, so can a nice house in a nice neighborhood if you open your door for the wrong person.

  • Apparently Macintosh get no errors/viruses etc which Windows does.

So tell me, why does the macfixit site even exist?

  • That was an AWESOME computer for the time!

  • that computer wuz talkin'!

  • its incredable how far we have come, and how much still stays the same

  • He cried!!!!!!!

  • WWDC hasnt change much... its still pretty much like that (as far as cheering). But WinHEC... its soooo dead silent... Just goes to show ya... ppl who have Macs really care about it and get excited over the new cool stuff....

  • I can't belive technology has gone this far already.

  • Americans seem to be easily impressed.. The audience whoops sound like an episode of Jerry Springer.

  • While Americans DEFINITELY do whoop and cheer a little too easily, at the time, that mac was pretty darn impressive.

  • the used a 512k mac prototype not a 128k mac , they lied to us.

  • hhahah wow. we came a long way.

  • Damn, that's 23 years ago already!!!

  • wich-craft! ^^ ;)

  • gosh that is incredible. We've come so far.

  • I'm a PC tech who instead of buying a Vista laden laptop, bought his very functional and perfect, Macbook Pro. :-)

  • Wow now I have a Mac OS X, It's pretty cool to think that almost the oldest Mac's were that good!!!!

  • That's really cool. I've always wanted to see a video of Steve introducing one of the early Macs. I remember when I was in Elementary school (now in HS) we used the Apple II GS computers for games and whatnot. And then I thought it was really cool when my 5th grade teacher had one of the first iMacs. I was really impressed with its functionality.

  • Its really sad how the first iMacs were cutting edge back in the day but now they are only seen as more WEEE waste to have to get rid of. so much so we have a 20x15 foot room just stacked with iMacs just waiting to be stripped down:(

  • Wow if my macbook looked like that id shoot it. Can we say ugly .

  • It's amazing to see how far we have come, and how in 1884, that was cutting edge.

Actually Vista is a rip off of Mac OSX, and it requires a huge chunk of hard drive...

  • and your a piece of shit emo kid who likes to hang out in coffee shops.

  • In 1884 that would have been considered witchery. o-O

  • Very Impressing for a computer of 1984....

The Text-to-speech thing is better than the WindowsXP tool "Microsoft Sam"

  • Most impressive.

  • L!O!O!O!OOL!!O

  • good video, but the part where the mac was talking was really gay...

  • I have been using Macs since 1984. One of my goals in life has been to never know what a C drive is.

  • lol mac sucks

  • u suck

  • Wow, Noah Wyle really does look like a young Steve Jobs... Steve Jobs was a great showman, but Bill Gates was obviously the better businessman.

  • Never make a vid again

  • Think about where we were prior to this and how amazing this must have been. It is an amazing time to be alive. The introduction of the Mac was like the introduction of the telephone or the harnessing of electricity. Apple was the innovator for everthing that came after it on the personal computing level, and Steve Jobs continues to pave the way, albeit in other mediums.

  • Nice to see that Apple presentations were just as wanky back then as they are now.

  • HOLY SHIT IS THAT STEVE JOBS?!

The mac itself is pure shit thou, probably was amazing back then

  • This sure beats windows vista

  • my TI-83 beats vista

  • What the fuck does this have to do with Vista? Shut up, man. Just cut the shit and quit bitching and arguing about something you don't even understand. Microsoft's programming is lightyears ahead of Apple's. Of course, since people like you only understand what you can see, you only see that OS X has a better GUI. Macs are only stable because their programming is simpler than PCs, and they don't get viruses because hackers refuse to even bother. It is INCREDIBLY easy to hack a mac, btw.

  • ahem...fanboy alert

  • Ahem... moron alert.

Seriously, if that's the best you can come up with, just don't say anything at all. And you call ME a fanboy? I'm sure you're one of those people who finds his Mac "sexy" like he wants to fuck it. Why else would you be obsessed enough with the release of Vista to bring it up like that in such a situation. You, my friend, have a serious problem.

  • why the hell are you picking on me? my previous comment was a reply to another comment dumb shit. if you want to keep worshiping your vista then go ahead, i'm only in middle school, i don't give a fuck about what you do, but do it somewhere else, youtube isn't mac vs windows.

  • Thanks for warning us that you are a moron!

  • What are you talking about, dude? I was backing you up. I'm a linux user too.

  • I was talking to someone else. Calm down.

  • No, it's not. They can't even catch up with Linux!

  • Damn right about that one.

  • OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

I MUST GET ONE *drulls over the gfx*

  • That voice is really freaky. But people must have been so amazed.

  • Mac Rules!!! Pc sucks!

  • Wow, the iPhone intro at MacWorld was none the less like this... :-) What we need now is soneone to mix these two videos... as in a Time Capsule for Steve Jobs.. :)

  • Glorious man, it brings tears to my eyes, I'm so fracking glad that I was in my early twenties back then, thanks mom and dad for having conceived me at the right time, having lived through such historically significant times is precious. I still love my old computers. Long live Commodore. Long live Apple.

  • im 16 and i also think he is glorius man!! i hoped to have lived in that time from the start but hey wath can i do about it. i love apple and wath they have did over the years and to the world is just insanely great!! im not a kid that like the new intel or something i like the old macintosh its just great steve jobs :D best man in the world

  • Wow! EGA Graphics WOW! The nintendo future platform! COOOL! Funny to see I had to learn on those things in elementry!

  • take a minute and think about the technological step we have made with the computer in the past 20/30 years.

Everything you see around you has some part of it thought of or made with a computer.

  • i own apple computer Mac Rules!! especially on Music and Video editing and recording!!!

  • Off course, and thats the because Jobs it so young :)
