@cherokeegreeneyes This particular remix was done by David The Ill (as in "ill) Dravidian. Don't know if he did it for the DVD, but I seriously doubt it. He does a lot of remixing of Indian music.

"Chaiyya Chaiyya" was written by A. R. Rahman, who also did the score for "Slumdog Millionaire." He was already a famous Bollywood music composer before Slumdog. "Chaiyya Chaiyya" was in the top ten list of most popular world songs for years.

@boonlay28 That is a common misconception. There is no historical proof that gypsy tribes in India performed bellydance. They have their own cultural dances that are probably older than bellydance. Bellydance as we know it are derived from the folk dances of Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey, and other Middle Eastern/North African countries. Although there is footwork in classical Indian dances such as Kathak, Asian dances (and India is part of the Asian continent) tend to emphasize the arms/hands. ME and

you find songs every were kinda like were you find costume peices, when you find a song you think you like keep it , I took basic traditional Belly dance lessons locally, its all the same moves, it's just developing your own style, keep watching the pros and learn from them take ideas . I like pentaphob, Maduro, Kraddy, Knossos, are some good artists.. also look or workshops that come through your area sometimes some tribal classes come by.. good luck and enjoy

"Chayya Chayya" is the song from the Hindi Movie "Dil Se" this is a remix - possibly done for this preformace? This song was also used in the intro in the movie "I am Legend" I personally like the original version of the song better :) but to each his own! Hope this helps :) Orignial song is ~6-7mins long.

I love this song! it's awesome to see someone do a belly dance to it ^_^ I also appreciate how she has a really high level of sheer, sophisticated skill AND she is slender...I hate how "slender" has been stigmatized as skininess, not curvy, and incapable of belly dancing...I think it's pretty obvious here that her body size isn't a hindrance!
