I appreciate unique twists, but I don't think this one worked.

Timing was off with the music as I counted along and a lot of transitions were either too abrupt or off-time. On some of the highpoints of the song I think you could have capitalized more. Some scenes woulda been good, like the Tent scene between Searles, Trip and Rawlins, the "Tear It Up" scene, using the Prayer Scene. This video was shallow and lacking character.

Glad to hear you're gonna revamp it as it has potential.

sorry to tell ya dude, but the war wasnt entirely about the slaves. yea if there werent slaves, it wouldve never happened. but they had the war because the south thought the slaves should count as a vote in the house of representatives. thats where the 3/5 compromise came in...

You know what's really an eye opener? I've actually read Colonel Shaw's REAL letters to his family, and they sound nothing like the movie. That opening letter in the beginning of the movie before Antietam with all the emotional music and him saying "but this time we must make it a whole country, so that all can speak" is made from little clips of his other letters taken out of context.

LOL ... great job, but it TOTALLY changes the tone of the movie! Watching this fan video makes me wonder what would happen if someone were to re-release Glory in theatres today with modified scenes ... BulletTime(tm) slow motion fight scenes like in Matrix, electric guitar score instead of orchestral and choral music, the works.

It'd be directed by Rob Cohen (XXX, Fast and the Furious, Stealth) and it'd have Josh Lucas as Major Forbes, Colin Farrell as Colonel Shaw, not to mention Trip would be played by Ice Cube. Then at the ending, instead of the choral music that plays when they charge Ft. Wagner, it's "Attack" by 30 Seconds To Mars.

cooool! i watched this is history class, and i luved it so much! i guess its cuz of how Robert Shaw (Matthew Broderick) treated his regiment so well. Black regiment or not, he wanted the best 4 his regiment. u do not know how dissapointed i was 2 see him die in the end... Shaw is also a very clever chracter.
