yogiraj stays in pune its where i stay ...i havent met him personally..but during last few months i have often visited his ashram ..its not very far from my place ...and it is so beautiful and serene.and green...its like i am addicted to that place..
I greet you with love and respect. Thank you for continuing your practice. Though you will not see me, I am always there with you, cheering your every breath. Namaste'
each truth has its dualistic nature.. it is and isnt both at the same time.. i think treating peoples teachings with this frame of mind can set you free. there are an infinate amout of brilliant teachers and guide.considering one of them the best, would be limiting yourself to the other million perspectives. read lots of different things and get that healthy periphiral vision on the wolrd.. its truly beautiful!
get out before its too late!!! you are beging to make this man into a god while giving him donations of money... use his teachings as one of many.. but never as some absolute expression of truth , or you are just limiting your own powers which connect you DIRECTLY to "god"... if he was a good "guru" he wouldnt claim to know the truth.
i'm not sure he ever "claimed to know the truth".. one of the things he has said which i really like is -- those who know it, speak it not; those who speak it, know it not."
this is how organised religion starts and developes. jesus, buddah, etc.... they were all great men much like your guru. but the followers lost touch with there main idea which is not to follow and diefy them. youre beginings to speak like a follower and a worshiper. and his ideas will slowly become systemized and labeled. the ultimate way to limit your truly knowledge of reality...
i am not as much interested in his ideas as i am in his essence, which is the essence within all of us. recognize that organized religion starts with the systemization and labeling, not with the person and the essence. of course the key is to recognize the aliveness of this essence within all of us.
of course organised religion starts with the humble teachings of a charismatic and insighful, wise teacher. the more humble, brilliant, "enlightened" the more people will follow.. the more people follow the more it becomes sytemized which ultimately furthers you from GOD. its paradoxical.. the awareness of this progression is all you need to KEEP YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND which is in my opinion the best way to relate to god, or "life"
Just trying to understand here. Making your own equation only works after you figured out how math works. We stand on the shoulders of Fermat, Newton, Kepler, Aristotle, Euclid, Pythagoras, and untold numbers more. You follow this guru of yours so that someday you can stand on his shoulders and carry the weight of his efforts, but you'll go off in your own direction with it. I suppose perhaps that is what you mean?
an interesting parallel.. certainly we all stand of the shoulders of each other -- that's my feeling. and in these terms, i'd say that i see my purpose in this light as letting my light shine, and i'd say that interaction with my guru, whose light is very very bright!, helps my light to shine all that brighter. does that answer some questions? :)
Forgive my impertinence and ignorance, Sara. You talk about blazing one's own trail. That we can't copy and paste. Yet you follow this guru? Truth is we CAN copy and paste. We do it ALL the time. We follow in footsteps of others. We learn from teachers. We quote quotables and we follow directions on the back of soup cans. Blazing one's own trail often gets one lost.
i don't think we really can copy & paste, because in the end it's always with our unique flavor that we've taken over other ideas. as for following this guru --- i'd like to explain at some point what that really means for me, because "following" could mean so many things, and to me there is no contradiction to blazing my own trail. i think the key is that development is *internal, and that's an experience that is unique to each person who seeks.
the dates i'm seeing are sept 28-30. on friday & sat at 19.00 and then sunday from 15-20.00.. i'd recommend going to a fri and/or sat and then considering the sunday if you have felt drawn. :) wonderful! :)
I dont know why, but even if i think the best thing that i can do for myself is to practice yoga (i'm 38 and i feel that since my childhood), it seems that i wait to have those long white hairs to begin,,,. I love you Sara, you are beautiful, you may masterise yoga(for now!), but u have the talent of ur own Guru: you inspire love :)
Hmmmmmm...indeed, to each their own, I wish you peace in life Sara. I do not practice any form of yoga or any organized spiritual/religous(although i hate to use the word religious) practices for that matter, but I do study eastern philosophy and/or mysticism so I understand your position. When I am in a better position myself I will certainly look into this. You are wise for your age.-Peace
i've been wondering what you mean by "being in a better position".. :) i hope you're well & i'm sure that in some way we are all always exactly in the place we need to be. :)
I am well sara, thankyou for being concerened. I am indeed mentally and physically healthy. I am living with others and am in between occupations, so unfortunatley finances affect my "freedom", but what is freedom? I think its all about perception. When I live on my own i will be able to explore all my avenues of interest is all i meant.I assume your are busy with your life experience but if you ever want to have a specific discussion please send me a private message-peace
by the way, sara, you said your guru is in the united states, i was wondering if you live in the U.S, because i thought i read somewhere that you live in Europe, Germany I believe it was. Anyway, best of wishes with your yoga-peace
He looks like Zeus, Swami. If your ever in L.A., Calif., there are several transendental meditation centers to attend. There's one in Malibu here, which is well-reknown. Yoga is something that really interests me, also Tai-chi. Thanks for sharing.
nice...never try to approach that view...where can i find more info about it...just for information purposes..is very important to me understand the different points of view of different people..that helps me understand my position in this world. anyway..thanx 4 opening new door of info. ciao.
OMG you're so cute and like, spiritual, and stuff. Will you marry me?
