Now I have been reading and hearing that file above has been removed and that there might be a newer version...probably hboot_2.xx_soff-V9.zip. What can you tell me?

@sometuber1 Make sure you hit "allow" when it pops on the screen. Otherwise you will get that error.

HEY GUYS !! i found the solution for backing up the Wiimax4G. Install the app Astro Manager, Start it then it should put u in the sdcard folder. then ur gonna create a new folder and call it (nandroid). this should make it where when u back up the files, it works because now it can find the directory. Hope i helped.

this method is BS. I followed the instructions to the t. It didnt work. I never got the TRIANGLE. It just booted up. I ended up just having to reinstall the original RUU file and set up my phone all over again. I also, got an error when backing up WIMAX. It said that directory didn't exist, then the # was replaced with >. NOW Im having to reinstall RUU file again because my Market app file disapeared. Also, I can re-download my purchased apps, they aren't anywhere to be found

I just got my first evo 4g today, and got it rooted now thanks to this video, and the website you guys run great job on all that. I did however run into a few problems along the way, but they were solvable. First problem I had was a few people said in here such as access denied for the adb shell commands for su. I just exited the application and reopened it and asked for permission again and allowed it and didn't have any more problems.

@zedomax n maybe i had that problem cuz i had problems with that app that could temp root ur phone, well i tried to root it 3 tyms(with the app), cuz 1st tym i tried it jst pop up the white screen but with the sign of HTC in green, like everything on ur foneloading, 2nd tym, it pops up the 4g thing, when u trying to turn it on, that it makes a sound then it says 4g n everything, so 3rd tym i could root it, bt everything on my phone was freaking slow at dat moment lol, sorry for my english
