Buddha was an atheist, he was not a saviour, there is no faith in Buddha, Buddha can do nothing to wash away your sins. @joncruiser I would say there's an enormous difference between trying to exterminate society of religion and teaching your kids the values you have. Kids aren't born with any values, so their parents teach them what they believe. Kids need some type of belief system, so parents give it to them. But what Dawkins is doing is going out of his way to convince the rest of society that they are wrong, parents don't tell they're kids there wrong about anything, only introduce things.

There was maybe one or two moments when he couldn't help himself suddenly interrupting, but overall it was cool to finally see him so devoted to polite discussion. :) His belfief in fictional, subjective things is pitiful, but bravo for progress in something nonetheless.

Why is O'Reily talking about the teachings of Buddha and Jesus, completely incompatible together. Buddha was an atheist, he was not a saviour, there is no faith in Buddha, Buddha can do nothing to wash away your sins. Buddha is a teacher and a guide, not a religion, not something to be worshipped. The very concept of eternal paradise or torture and that the universe exists for us is so unbelievably arrogant and deluded, opposite to anything any buddhist would teach.

@joncruiser I would say there's an enormous difference between trying to exterminate society of religion and teaching your kids the values you have. Kids aren't born with any values, so their parents teach them what they believe. Kids need some type of belief system, so parents give it to them. But what Dawkins is doing is going out of his way to convince the rest of society that they are wrong, parents don't tell they're kids there wrong about anything, only introduce things.
