  • the "dude" part really captures why people love you so much.

  • hey im muslim and this explanation was good. muslims also wear hats or caps optionally, but especially during prayer. the physical thing does affect the soul, and it does add to my awareness of God. also in public i feel that im representing God's religion in front of other people so i try to stay away from sins even more. salam

  • Rabbi, I am a christian and I find myself to believe in the Judaism religion and in Jesus as the Savior. You stated that the kippah shows fear of God. So can christians wear a kippah if they fear God? I got one, but my dad took it because he says that it is only for the Jews. Again, I am christian. Can christians wear the kippah? God Bless and when I wore my kippah, it brought me closer to God (the little time I had it). Shalom!

  • 0:12 it can also hide a bald patch on some dudes head!!

  • So what is the difference btw Jewish kippot and the Musilm head cover, I only see the difference is: the musilm one seems to be slightly bigger than the Jewish one.

  • Ronen I am Jewish (ethnically) and I really appreciate your videos you 've really help me get back to my faith.

  • Ronennachman770, if you feel Jewish but have not formally converted, can you where a kippah?

  • how do you get it to stay on? I'm buying one because I'm going to start attending shul to speak to the rabbi, but it looks like most people use clips or "bobby pins" to fasten them on.

  • Hey, its Jake Gyllenhaal!!!!!

  • i am jewish and if someone were to knock off your yarmaluke what would you say to them/ or what would you do

  • @michaeldudeoo1 JEWWWWW

  • omg its a jew!

  • @ULTIMATEACE8 i know right!!

  • Pls expand upon what you mentioned about how the Shulchan Aruch asks that Jews appear to look different from others. Would like to know the source and wording of that. Thanks.

  • Hello roneenachmen770,

i just had a question for you... im thinking about renewing my faith in judaism. My mom is or WAS Jewess but denounced her faith and married my dad who is a christian.... but i guess in jewish law you are your mother religion. so she gave me the option of being jewish or not so i chose not to...

well the question i had was HOW OFTEN ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO WEAR YOUR KAPPAH. you probably answered it already but just wanted to make sure

  • @GreaserxDeuce He unfortunately died over a year ago. There is some speculation as to how he died, but his family has so far not disclosed the cause of death, stating only that it was an accident...

  • @einetutterauchen

oh no way, are you serious that the guy n the video died holy crap

  • @einetutterauchen ohhhh G-d bless him i just found out his video and they are so nice and I like listening him explain...

  • We can buy this in any jew store?

  • @maykhop what? are yooooooooou jewish?

  • I love Chabad's style of Kippah!

  • I've never seen a jew with long hair, and i was wondering if there was a reason for that, and also would it be possible to wear a kippah with long hair?

  • Comment removed

  • a kippah in non Torah it came from the Talmud and it really integrated from the head coverings of catholic priest in the 18th century. No ancient Jews wore this.

  • Dude with all the respect I understand the kippa or the hat but why dont you shave your face ?

  • he's cute!

  • @damenai he died about 10 months ago :(

  • @flute4hire i'm really sorry to hear that. how? he was so young . . .

  • doesnt the kippah mean man ends here and god starts here?

  • sound so beautyfull but reality is that many jewish people are so use to it that they just losse the meaning of it and then do strange things that i had witnessed like killing a roach with it,shoplifting, and taking off the top of a boilling pot with it im not longer wear it

  • I loved this explanation of why Jewish males wear a kippa :) I only chanced upon this because I was doing a search on how to crochet a kippa :)

  • i want a kippah

  • Go to your nearest Orthodox or Conservative Jewish synagogue, and ask for one.

  • anyone can be a jew but not all people can be a jew and not practice the faith. i was born of a jewish mother therfore i am a jew. if you are not you must practice the faith to be jewish

  • adam sandler with a beard XD

  • u forgat to mention that the kippa is not biblical and therefore is a pagan costume and there is a lot hipocresy from the jewish women covering their hair a lot of them buy expensive wigs that look more atracctive than their own hair

  • Yes you CAN convert. Anyone know Unclus? He is one of the biggest Talmid Chacham's to ever live! He wrote the Targum on the Torah! He was also known as Unclus HaGer. Unclus the Convert. Yes, the process is long, and it is daunting, but it's meant to weed out anyone who doesn't truly believe.

  • No! you have to be born a jew. Do you not understand diffrence between Jew and Gentile? You can not convert this isnt CHRISTIANITY!!!!

  • @kadesh138

This show you what you know. Of course you can convert to Judaism. It isn't easy, but it can be and is done.

  • how do i wash a kippah? i spillt or how ever you spell that and i dont know what to do

  • i want tobe a jew

  • If you want to be a jew then convert. It might take a year or two, but that is for your own good. You don't want every law shoved down your throat in one shot.

  • I'm converting. It is very much for your own good. I just wanted to comment to say that it was a great comment to someone saying they wanted to be jewish ;)

  • First trace your family history and see if you are Jewish, if so start to practice.

If not then contact a local Orthodox rabbi and start the conversion process.

  • If you are in the conversion process is it ok to wear a kippah ?

  • Sorry, I meant to remember Ronen. RIP, Ronen - I think of you often; I hope/believe you have found peace with Hashem.

  • It is possible to become Jewish if you are not born of Jewish parents ?

  • absolutely

  • some rabbis today say that the mother must be Jewish.

but i believe this is wrong because if a non-Jew truly wants to be a jew, then he/she should be allowed to.

  • Are you Chassidic? Just curious. I don't identify with a movement, however my beliefs are somewhat modern-Orthodox, and my father is a Rabbi, so I will ask him, But I have never heard of anyone saying that a person without a jewish mother cannot convert.

  • I wasnt talking about converting. sorry if i got the wrong point across. i was talking about being born Jewish/actually being Jewish growing up. Ask your father and tell me what he says.

  • I don't think that is what he meant. I am a Christian; however, my grandmother (maternal) was Jewish and many of my relatives consider me Jewish anyway.

  • Yes. You can study Judaism, then convert if you chose to

  • Is this not a minhagim? Tradition that becomes law.

  • A kippah? I don't see how that's possible. People buy ones with different writings on them or pictures. Or even an image of their favorite baseball team.

It's just like another article of clothing. If you want to use yours to send a political message, I'm sure you'll find a way. Otherwise, it's just another way to express yourself.

  • Have they become politicized?

  • Can Gentiles wear a kippah?

Even if he believes in God?

  • As far as Jewish law is concerned, of course there would be nothing wrong with a non-Jew covering his hair.

If you're asking about non-Jewish law, I'm definitely not well versed enough on that subject to give you an answer.

  • So would it be something in respect for God?

Because as a Christian, i really find the kippah interesting and i would like to use it as a symbol for Yahweh our God.

    God bless

  • If the intent is to remind you there is a G-d above you, I can't see anything wrong with that.

  • well me, as christian., i dont recomend it because these is a tradition or a law of Jews and we gotta understand that we are not jews nor we practice Judaism... if you are a Jew but doesnt practice Judaism but believes in G-d, then you can war a kippah because your a Jew. But you are Christian, for I think you shall not wear it.... But its up to you, cuz thats just what i think, G-d bless you

  • @TheEcumenator as you are a non jew i would ask that you not wear one. other than support israel rallys,or counter protest aginst israel. and the reason is that if your in a kippa in a non kosker restarant eating a cheesse burger or turkey and bacon on wheat it makes it look like a jew breaking kosher lawsor ppl see you out driving fri nite with it on your head it looks like a jew who doesn't keep the saboth holy .so in short it may not be a sin to wear one,but it gives religous jew a bad look

  • @TheEcumenator It seems like the pope already wears the Kippah. So its not limited to Jewish orthodox people. I was told that the Kippah is a symbol to the planet Saturn, but I dont know how true this is, but the Jewish people have Saturday worship which is the day of Saturn. Who really knows the truth?

  • @charronfamilyconnect the pope doesnt wear a kippah. it has a completely different name and a different purpose. in catholicism it is a hierarchal symbol meaning he has a higher position than the abbot or the bishop. also the kippah has nothing to do with saturn worship. that would be idol worship and is a chillul hashem...

  • Awsome Explanation thanks

  • Really nice, thanks.

This below may be a bubbemeisse, but it's nice:

    yarmulke -

    yar - fear / awe

    mulke / malka - King / Queen

  • why do wear a beard and all cloths black ? :)

  • Interesting. I didn't know that Chassidim wear Kippa and hat at the same time.

  • some kippah's have a double covering stitched in them, for the same reasons as mentioned in the video. Particularly worn by Chabad Chassidim.

  • always!

  • בס"ד

    שכוייח. ה' יברך אותך.

    חזק ואמץ.

  • Awesome. Thanks bro.
