OK, I'm a voice coach - Whitney needs help. She went out on tour long before she was ready. She is lacking stamina and healthy vocal habits. She's not singing with enough support and is cheating her high notes with a weak falsetto (where her voice disappears). She needs to go back to a vocal coach and re-learn some fundamentals of live singing.
The sad fact is, singers of her stature think they don't need to re-learn or practice after some years off. They get lazy and it shows.

you all need to understand that being famous is not easy, getting up on stage in front of millions of people every night and trying to hit notes that you have not sung in years, and coming out of rehab and getting back into things is very hard.

In the 3rd entry, the writer describes his voice in the '73 Vegas season as weak, and that he had to cancel several shows. In the 4th entry, the writer reviewing one concert in '76 states "Elvis hardly has a voice, and is singing slower than the music." He also compares it unfavorably to a bad show several weeks later. OK, I'm a voice coach - Whitney needs help. She went out on tour long before she was ready. She is lacking stamina and healthy vocal habits. She's not singing with enough support and is cheating her high notes with a weak falsetto (where her voice disappears). She needs to go back to a vocal coach and re-learn some fundamentals of live singing.
The sad fact is, singers of her stature think they don't need to re-learn or practice after some years off. They get lazy and it shows.

But yes Whitney is trying, however, i just dont think her voice will every be the same again. As for mistakes, i dont believe people make mistakes. If she thought that she couldn't give a good performance that night, she should have done the responsible thing and canceled and refunded the tickets.
